Forza Horizon 4

Forza Horizon 4

Statistiken ansehen:
Please make Forza 4 compatible with Intel Iris Xe Graphics
I don't see what the problem is.
The Crew, The Crew 2, Need for Speed Heat all play fine. Forza 4 just crashes.
How is it that Microsoft is incapable to get this right when they own the Windows operating system, while the other game developers have no problem?

A huge number of laptop models use this GPU, so please fix Forza 4.

Is Intel Iris Xe good for gaming?
Is Intel Iris Xe Max graphics good for gaming? No. You're looking at GT1030 levels of performance which is good enough for light 1080p gaming but inadequate for anything else.
I run this game mostly in the integrated XE graphics of my i1165-g7 CPU of my handheld UMPC (GPD Win3) either in Windows 10 and 11, which by all means it's a laptop. It had issues with older drivers (crashing, graphic glitches, stutter in menus), but latest stable ones run this game nicely.
Your crashing issues may be due another factor in your system.
I'm not saying that the Intel Iris Xe is good for all gaming. What I am saying is that a ton of laptops use this GPU. In South Africa there are rows of new PC's in stores with Iris Xe.
Iris Xe is able to run games like Satisfactory, The Crew 2 and Scrap Mechanic quite well, in fact gameplay is totally acceptable. The studio who made Forza 4 is quite capable of making the fix and they would receive a lot of new players as a result. I believe that it is just a compatibility issue and nothing more. You can look it up on Youtube to see how Forza 4 runs on Iris Xe, and the immediate comment would be that the GPU is hopeless. Not so. The game just hasn't been tweaked to run on Iris Xe. If it was, the game would run descently. It's up to the developer.
i also had this issue with my 1235u.
it would freeze and then crash in about 5-10 minutes after game loads.
but it could run the benchmark mode with no issues without crashing.
then i set the gear-changing from auto to manual with clutch (in which you need to use keyboard buttons more) and made it even worse.
so i realized that the less you touch the keyboard the more you will get to play before is freezes.
then i tried to play it with my controller (dualshock 4) and now i can play it with no issues and stably for hours.
i hope this helps.
Forza works with the Intel Arc and from what I understand Intel is revising the driver stack to unify Xe and Arc Alchemist/etc under one "roof", so a driver update might fix things.

Game worked fine on Iris xe for months, I played fine 720p med/low 45-60 fps all summer, and now game starts I can run benchmark and it works well but when loading save it crashes at the end.
