Should i buy fh4 on steam now?

FH4 is getting to end of life soon and so i wanted to buy it after having played on gamepass awhile back. ive heard bad things about the steam version so i want to know if i should buy on steam or ms store. also, do you think that fh4 will get cheaper before being delisted?

There is no proof that FH4 will be delisted yet. FH4 was the first Forza that was released AFTER gamepass was launched. FM7 came out BEFORE gamepass ever happened (T10/PG said that they will change how their games run after Gamepass launched, so nobody knows yet) MS DID say that 1st party games will NOT leave gamepass, so that part is up in the air.

Steam version has caused LOTS of problems tbh (the long loadtime bug in online was caused by the steam launch, and they don't seem able to fix it), but as they are linked due to crossplay, it makes no difference in how they play.

The MS store version gives you access to PC AND a xbox version for one price ( I use my xbox as a "save file" now, due to that, which can be handy when the MS servers mess up.

This sale is a good deal tho, hell I spent £80 for the Ultimate edition at release, so the fact that its £30 on steam is a BARGAIN, I got HUNDREDS of hours from my 80, so at its current price, its well worth it.

IF it does get delisted it may get a 90% discount (FH3 did,but was only at that price for 2 weeks). Its an awkward call to make.

I have played more than 450 hours (Steam version) with no problems at all.

Edit: One more thing. I guess it's more than possible that there will be one more sale. However, there is also one bad scenario: There will be no sale anymore, the deal could be "No discount. Take it or leave it, last chance!" I'm sure many people will decide to leave it and go for Forza 5, but it could take some time for FH5 to hit the -50% deal, it's -20% now.

i don't think they are gonna let this game die. I mean just think of it, its the first game they release on steam and I think they did it for a reason.

I just bought 2 fh4 for me and my son. But both of us can't play the game. There are many different ways to solve the problems and I tried all of them. But still can't play.

FH4 has a bigger player count on Steam than 5, so hopefully they won't delist it in the near future.

They have a history of only licensing the cars for 4 years, so they have to take it down once the license expires. We can only speculate if FH4 still has a 4 year license. But it most likely does. That is how they get so many cars into the game (its cheaper with a 4 year license, than the typical 10 year license).

Hello from the time machine. If you are an nvidia user you shouldn't in 2023. Because nvidia drivers are getting crashes in every 15-30min. So this sh*t can't playable anymore and the genius playgroundgames just ignored. Well, these creatures doesn't fix it the problem on fh4. What you gonna do about it? Then f**k it. Ignore it or don't buy their games. I mean you know the fh5 is copy paste sh*t and it's not worth it. Fh4 still crashing... So just watch them b***j** themselves.

DO NOT buy this game, it's broken and you have to downgrade your GPU drivers to play this properly.

Game runs flawlessly on my rtx 3090 rig so huge thumbs up from me on getting it when its on a good sale. From what I can see the crash bug is persistent for those it effects but not common so make sure to play in a single sessions almost up to the time limit so you can see if your game crashes and still have time for a refund. From most reports its typically 10-15 minutes in with the rare crash after an hour or so.

idk about MS store version. is it working when update to newest driver? i don't reommend you buy this game on Steam. it's broken and you need to use Nvidia 522.25 driver version to play without crash.
