FH5 has better native support for more advanced controlers like driving wheels.
Being later game in franchise, FH5 has more upgrade options for cars and variety of QOL features.
FH5 keeps recieving new content. Its first expansion was released.
Being newer one, FH5 is the one where number of players in MP will increase.
FH4 has more content at the moment, but that's all it's going to get.
Expansions are hit (Fortune Island) and miss (LEGO valley).
FH4 has snowy winter, and more rain. Some people apparenty like it.
In my opinion FH4 has more good circuit tracks than FH5. That goes to both tarmac and dirt racing.
FH4 has iconic rally cars from Fiat, Abarth and Lancia, that are missing in FH5.
Biggest difference for me was map, i'm not really fan of Mexico with only small differences between seasons. In FH4 UK you can easily distinguish summer autumn and winter.
Also FH5 was for me very buggy, online races weren't working and AI was cheating with acceleration. They probably fixed some of this but still i'll wait for a bigger sale.
If you have time i recommend trying both on gamepass.
as a casual gamer who just drives around and does races for an hour or two, i consider FH4 to be a decent choice - not sure about the fanatics of racing games
I get 58-60 Fps (average 70% GPU[90-100% During Loading]) At night while driving at 270 MPH. Full Graphics HD In Horizon Live.
Anybody have any idea?
That depends also on what GPU you have and what CPU. For me at 1440p with Nvidia 3060 I get about 106fps
why, have 4 seasons i like ride in autumn and snow, England map, good music radio and more.
FH4 still appears to sound like a good choice
FH5 has much better driving mechanics and physics, and serious improvements over annoyances that you have with online events in FH5.
Driving RWD cars in it is superb and rewarding vs AWD dominance you have in FH4.
The map is sooo boring compared: flat plains with no season differences. Car variety is a it meh too, unless you are into electric cars.
But if you have an Xbox, and you also want to play the PC version, get it on Xbox digitally, because the PC port, is just let’s say could be better
Want seasons to actually look different and you prefer a more English setting, FH4.
Imo fh5 is a better game, but the price difference is in favor of fh4. fh4 is 90% of fh5, but at a far higher cost. If cost isn't an issue to you, id say get fh5.
They really need to incorporate the 7 main sets of scenery in their next Forza
1. Expansive City
2. Suburbs
3. Farmlands
4. Scenic Landmarks
5. Secret Areas
6. Transport Systems - Airports, Trains, Car hubs, Marinas
7. Government, official areas
A town does not classify as a city and Forza 4 and 5 just have towns.
Plus we should be at the stage where we can get out our vehicle and walk around anywhere on the map.
