is there a way to disable the music entirely?
it only lets me set the car radio audio to 1, not 0 so i can still hear it even at the lowest setting. i really dont like the music and just want to hear nothing but the cars and stuff. any fix for this?

Change the radio to off?

That helps but you can still hear some of the music on the loading screen (when it showcases your car with a constantly rotating camera) as well as the non-Street Scene starting grid areas even when you have the radio turned off. Worse part is usually it's not your preferred radio/song so you are forced to hear it even if the volume is lower than radio on

turn on the streamer mode in options. has to be done every time the game is restarted for some reason.

ok ill give it a try. its weird that they didn't give an option because they actually were very good about having lots of options for everything

I know it has been a month for this question, but I recently found a different method that works without having to turn on streamer mode every time you open the game. It was on one of the guides here on steam.

In your File explorer, open: (Disc you installed the game in)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ForzaHorizon4\media\audio\fmodopus\x64
Then scroll to GLB_Radio.bank and 2 other variations of the Radio file name, then rename/delete (rename is enough) the GLB_Radio_3D.bank file.

By doing this, the background music that can be heard in loading screen or mid racing party booths are gone when you set the radio off. Has been working great for me, no more annoying "don't you" looping when waiting between races and can enjoy good racing soundtracks from outside fh4 uninterrupted/clashed

You can also rename the other 2 file variations to disable the in-game radio completely, but I think it is unnecessary with the Radio turned off

Edit/ if you do this and then do a Check File Integrity on Steam Launcher, it will assume the GLB_Radio_3D.bank is missing (1 file missing) and redownload it. Just fyi
