And oh yeah, there are certain challenges that both enable traffic AND disable rewinds. I've never wanted to punch someone through my monitor so badly.
The particular challenge was to take the Challenger Demon down the highway and get to the finish line before the timer runs out. Pretty straight forward. I believe the car was mostly stock with the exception of the transmission and drivetrain, regardless, shouldn't be that hard. Well, as I'm plowing through the highway as fast as I can push the car, I shift up to the last gear (was either 8th if the car was still truly stock or 6th if it was AWD swapped, can't remember)....my speed remains unchanged, my tach needle is bouncing off redline. The guy PURPOSELY made the final gear ratio the same as the previous gear before it...so when you shift into the last gear at 203mph thinking you'll go up a gear and continue going faster, nope, you're maxed out on speed because the creator INTENTIONALLY matched the gear ratio of the last gear to the previous gear, to purposely mess with people. Couldn't reach the finish line before the timer ran out, by a second or less. I was stubborn and ended up using all my attempts on that challenge hoping that maybe this final attempt I will cross the finish line 0.001 second before it ends...nope, never did. This was like Stage 5 or 6 of the S7.....

You have to quit the game after you won. Then, when you start the game again, the prizes will return to normal.
Seems you are correct. Completed another set, game said I won a pass, but I didn't receive it.
- a lot of times the route offered by the game is not the optimal route. Maybe you need to cut some corners (if it's a rare type "get somewhere fast" which isn't on the highway). If you can't make long enough jump no matter what, or can't beat the speed target no matter what, it might be the opposite - you need to get more distance somehow, so make your route longer (drive back first and start further away from your target, so you'll be able to reach higher speeds),
- if you have a jump challenge with rewind on, you basically have unlimited attempts - keep trying until you make a perfect jump (where your car goes as straight as possible without spinning or pulling the nose up too high),
- at the festival drag strip, you'll most likely need to back up to the nearest side road and start from there (the usual backing up to the fence behind you is not enough),
- at the highway, switch to the opposite lane after the second tunnel, then switch back at the next sharp turn. This way your turning curve will be a lot less... well, curvy, so you won't lose much speed. This might not always work though (some cars lose too much speed anyway from hitting this slight elevation in the middle).
After about 100 sets played (of 7 challenges), you'll see that it becomes a lot easier, you'll be doing most of challenges pretty much on reflexes. I did about 250 at this point, and I can win probably 9 sets out of 10. Of course, it's up to you to decide whether or not it's worth the time.
Thank you for the tips! Will give it another try later this week
