Is Logitech G923 supported?
I want to buy the Logitech G923. I have an issue where Game Pass and purchased games will not install on my PC and Microsoft can't resolve it so I have to purchase the Steam version. Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the Steam and Microsoft Store versions aside from Play Anywhere? Is the Logitech G923 supported equally on both platforms? Are there any advantages of the Xbox vs. the PS version of the wheel for PC aside from buttons probably auto mapped? I know the PS version won't play on my console.

This won't be an answer to your questions, but my experience.

I have a g920 and it's been trash in FH4. Apparently wheel support is very mixed from the searches I've found. The problem is the wheel is incredibly sensitive and leads to spin outs when barely touching the accelerator.
I am using the Windows store version and I came here hoping to find if the Steam version is any better. I don't expect it will be as this game seems to be intended for a controller and not a wheel.

Any idea if FH5 performs any better?

No idea. Haven't played it yet.

My experience with the g27 backs this up. Steering way too sensitive even turned down to minimum to be playable. Anyone got any hacks? 'Cause this looks like yet another refund for me....

i found some settings online which recommend changing "Steering sensitivity" down to 0. This helped a ton and everything feels more comfortable. I think I turned mine up to 5. Most or all of the other settings were set to default. Try this to see if it helps. I still have problems in an AWD Subaru but this might be a car tuning issue.

According to the WAB review the wheel and pedal settings were horribly bad. He was using Thrustmaster RS300GT. Does anyone know if these things have been fixed/improved now?

Did yout turn it to 5 for all games? Did you change your steeling from 900 to 270? I find that it is really difficult turning the wheel so far for some games. Also, find that in calibration screens it never seems to go completely to the end. Like it's just shy 1 digit of the full range on either left or right. Maybe that's normal for the wheel.

Dude, the logitech G923 goes great with the forza horizon 4

My G-hub settings are 540 degree range, sensitivity and centering strength are both 50. The centering spring box is unchecked. I still have massive spin out issues on gravel or unpaved surfaces. So not sure if bad driver or tuning issues. Most spin-outs occur when shifting into third or higher gear

Nope. I could kinda dealt with that, but the over sensitive steering is a killer. It seems to lock the wheel at 90⁰.

well I have a g920 and had same issue with AWD Subaru. I found that if you set wheel angle about 270-30- degrees in G Hub, it at least gives you an ability to get back from massive spins on gravel. Tomorrow I will look after in-game settings more.

I tried it and got no forced feedback at all. The wheel barely turned despite any setting changes. I am purchasing the Steam version to see if that works. I also have FH5 from Game Pass but it crashes as soon as it starts. Anyone else have this issues?

I have a logitech g27, the clutch doesnt work but everything else does and after watching and reading a bunch of peoples "best configuration" setups I have come to the conclusion that either the ffb engine changed or they just like real weak setups. So I just have been messing with things myself, driving off-road feels great; starting to hold drifts but steering needs fine tuning; can keep up with controller/keyb racers in any type of event and absolutley smashes people in the snow.

Here's my settings that work good for me if anyone is interested:

Logitech Profiler:
Overall:100%
Spring:85%
damper:100%
Centering Spring: 90%
Degrees of rotation: 900 (probably could drop this to 540)
Allow game to adjust settings: Ticked

In-Game:
Vibration: On
Steering deadzone in: 0
out: 100
Steering linearity: 50

Vibration Scale: 90
FFB Scale: 85
Centreing spring scale: 200 (160+ all feels kinda allright)
Wheel damper: 160
FFB Understeer: 45
FFB Min Force: 10
Steering Sensitivity 80

As you can see, mine is vastly different to the common 'low steering sensitivity'. I use the cockpit view of just the dash as the in-game steering wheel lock junk messes me up.

Do you just use the default desktop G Hub app or make a new one? Do you also check off the box for center spring for non force feedback games? In Forza Horizon settings won't 200 for centering spring cause you to fight the wheel and it to be too tight? I find that the wheel tends to pull in the opposite direction too much when cornering. What's the best setting to reduce that? Still trying to understand what all the settings do.
