I have a g920 and it's been trash in FH4. Apparently wheel support is very mixed from the searches I've found. The problem is the wheel is incredibly sensitive and leads to spin outs when barely touching the accelerator.
I am using the Windows store version and I came here hoping to find if the Steam version is any better. I don't expect it will be as this game seems to be intended for a controller and not a wheel.
My experience with the g27 backs this up. Steering way too sensitive even turned down to minimum to be playable. Anyone got any hacks? 'Cause this looks like yet another refund for me....
I have a logitech g27, the clutch doesnt work but everything else does and after watching and reading a bunch of peoples "best configuration" setups I have come to the conclusion that either the ffb engine changed or they just like real weak setups. So I just have been messing with things myself, driving off-road feels great; starting to hold drifts but steering needs fine tuning; can keep up with controller/keyb racers in any type of event and absolutley smashes people in the snow.
Here's my settings that work good for me if anyone is interested:
Logitech Profiler:
Overall:100%
Spring:85%
damper:100%
Centering Spring: 90%
Degrees of rotation: 900 (probably could drop this to 540)
Allow game to adjust settings: Ticked
In-Game:
Vibration: On
Steering deadzone in: 0
out: 100
Steering linearity: 50
Vibration Scale: 90
FFB Scale: 85
Centreing spring scale: 200 (160+ all feels kinda allright)
Wheel damper: 160
FFB Understeer: 45
FFB Min Force: 10
Steering Sensitivity 80
As you can see, mine is vastly different to the common 'low steering sensitivity'. I use the cockpit view of just the dash as the in-game steering wheel lock junk messes me up.
