Lotus Elise GT1 is so underrated and should be considered Meta

The Lotus Elise GT1 is honestly so underrated I don't know why it's not considered meta or even gained enough attention. It's one of the easiest cars to obtain as it's a barn find car. It can rival the Koenigsegg CCGT in S2 Road Racing and the Hoonigan RS200 in S2 Dirt Racing. I've got the GT1 up in the top 30 in some Rivals leaderboards but I bet with a wheel setup and enough practice, it can seriously rival the top 10.

It is a meta car, in both S1 and S2. Hell, toss in a whole other game and it's meta in FM7 too.

I've only seen a couple, but it's usually because of the track layouts or seasons don't allow for it to show its potential. Or people just don't like driving the car publicly.

Because its not a good car. Sure, its considered meta because some of its stats can be maxed out pretty high. But that doesnt mean it is a car with good handling or stability or other things. And, no, every single Koenisegg with the proper tune is way better than the Elise. Even talking about S1 class. Also, if im correct, didnt that car have the steering wheel on the right? that is a pretty important decision maker for many many players.

This is uh....very wrong. Or at minimum very missleading.

Stats mean litterally nothing.

S1 is not where the GT1 is meta. It's Meta in S2. Specifically, in the wet/winter and in circuits. It can hold it's own in the dry on faster tracks but that isn't it's strongsuit.

Stats mean literally nothing? i dont think you understand. Some cars have tweaked stats (speed, acceleration, etc) that allows em to be tuned to overpass most cars in the same coniditions. Elise is one of them. But those maxed stats mean nothing if other important stats, like handling are tweaked in the opposite way. There is a reason MOST experienced players dont use the Elise, and one of them is that they prefer better balance between handling / speed than having a hyper fast car that will never reach its peak in the game because there are no straight roads long enough to take advantaje of that. As simple as that.

The Elise is pretty good for some stunts, in fact is one of the recommended in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ community, but its not that good when racing on S2 and X. It never was. As happens with many meta-tuned cars, the tune beyond S1 in the Elise is very unbalanced. Also keep in mind, meta doesnt mean OP or whatever. There are literally hundred of meta cars in the game.

Once again. Stats in the Forza series are terrible indicators. Always have been and I'd bet they always will be. Don't pay attention to them.

That's also.. Exactly what it means. Most Effective Tactics Available. There are not hundreds of meta cars because that would mean that there are hundreds of cars that are capable of keeping up with the Alfa TZ2, Monaco King Cobra as well as others that are truly well above their respective classes.

Yes, Stats mean litterally nothing. Stats are not how the game calculates or determines anything, and they're not *accurately* calculated from the parts of the cars that do actually matter (like weight) either.
They mean nothing. They should be ignored.

It's not that good in terms of top speed and it gets outrun on a straight line, but the cornering and handling of it are it's big strengths as you can see in AR12's video.

But I think for N3mes1s, even the mount everest is just a simple hill.

"meta" by definition does not even make sense here

Most Effective Tactics Available

Yeah, if it's in the top 1% of cars on Rivals, it is almost definitely one of the M.E.T.A. cars.

The main caveat is that because you can just do rivals over and over again until you get it right, the top spots are more likely than normal to be controlled by RWD power builds that almost nobody would take into Ranked because of how easy it would be for a slight nudge to send them spinning off the track. But typically only the *very* top players are doing that, and they're all in exactly the same RWD power build, so once you get past the list of like 50 Porche 606s or whatever you start running into ranked meta setups.
