i think i have it almost worked out, i found out that the driver was up to date but the firmware was not (was at ver. 30 and supposed to be at ver.32). after updating it to ver 31, it wouldn't update to 32 so i uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and then updated the firmware from 31 to 32 seemed to reasonably solve the issue. after that i found the wheel to be a bit dead in the center of the steering but i resolved that by setting the deadzone from 100 to 80 ingame giving me better response and more feeling in the steering wheel.
i hope this helps you, i litteraly just finished this xD
i dont know why that would be, the first problem i had was that the FFB was working the wrong way around and the ingame "invert" option doesn't seem to work in the steam version ? but this was on the Thrustmaster. not sure about logitech tho. also not sure what you mean by cracking? xD
yeah this is what i did first, it's not that hard tho. Just follow the guide. at step 4 create a new folder and unzip there. then open the <DefaultRawGameControllerMappingProfileThrustmasterT300> profile with notepad++ thats what i used and in the first line for me i had to add DInputFFBInvertAxis="true" so it looks like the following;
<RawGameControllerInputMappingProfile Version="1" Id="74b1fc2f-7591-4918-bccb-632d9da6ef8e" UserFacingName="IDS_DefaultWheelProfile_ThrustmasterT300RS_Name" IsDefaultProfile="1" PrimaryDeviceVidPid="0x044fb66e" FFBDeviceVidPid="0x044fb66e" FFBMotorIndex="0" DInputFFBInvertAxis="True">
then save it and close it. Rezip it to the new folder with the name "inputmappingprofiles.zip"
and replace it in the original folder.
Side note! if you want to change any keybindings on the steering wheel ingame you are asked to use a custom profile. If you do then you might have to do this to that profile aswell.
Also i read that it could be that you have to unizp and rezip a second time and that somehow works aswell.
i realy hope this helps you
I tried this and it worked but my diy shifter doesn't work and the ffb is really bad. I tried on microsoft version and both work flawlessly. So there is something about steam.
sorry, i don't know anything else that might help. this is what worked for me and i havn't tried anything else. hope you find a fix.
