Playable on Keyboard?
I have a lot of experience in racing games on keyboard ( The Crew 2 - 130h, NFS Heat 50h and Dirt Rally 2 ). Playing on keyboard was fun in this games, but what about FH4?

Thanks for all your answers

I'm calmly playing FH3 on the keyboard. Demo version of FH4, also tried on the keyboard. You can reconfigure it as you like.

Pretty much every arcade/simcade will play better with a keyboard.

Silence you.

It works very well with the keyboard, possibly better than any other racing game despite the fact that it actually requires some basic driving knowledge.

Oof... It probably is, as any other Forza game, it has endless controller configurations. But to get a better experience I suggest an xbox one controller. However, if you want to get the absolute best experience, invest in a wheel. The G920 is a good start wheel. The game supports FFB, clutch, h-shifter, 900 degree rotation and paddles.

Keyboard is fine, the game sometimes defaults to default settings, just have to go to settings and switch to custom. The other problem is input lag if your fps is variable. Another issue is you cannot go into the super 7 builder with custom keybinds, you have to default to create stunt pieces.

I play competitively with MKB.

Don't care what anyone else says about controller pref etc. As someone who has played racing games with MKB for 30 years take my word for it FH4 does just fine, including drifting with MKB!

That bug probably won't happen on Steam, I'm 90% sure it's related to UWP since I've had it happen sometimes, but then after formatting and reinstalling the game it no longer happened. When I formatted again, it started happening again.

I play on keyboard when I don't feel like mounting my wheel, and it works just fine. Only real problem is lack of throttle control, pressing W is equivalent of flooring gas pedal, so car may easily wheelspin on launch, or spin out of control in corners. Takes some practice to keep it under control. Technicaly you can enable Traction Control to reduce it, but having it enabled turns into crippling liability when ranked MM drops you on dirt track. It's tied to difficulty settings for whatever reason, so can't be switched on/off when you're online (except free roam).

Traction control is for p*ssies. Just practice, it is possible to control the launch with the keyboard, only thing that's mostly analog-exclusive are burnouts. I haven't figured out a reliable way to perform a burnout with the keyboard at least.

I played my 3 month game pass trial on keyboard, was quite good tbh, controller are suitable for racing games too though
