Game Won't Launch

As title says, game won't start. Click play, steam says "running" and then just stops. No process was started. Iv checked various FAQ's and other forum posts for any fixes, from turning off discord and anti viruses, unplug USB's, run in admin, nothing seems to work. I cant even find an official form for contacting support to troubleshoot this, so im hoping this gets seen by devs, or if anyone has this problem also an found a fix, it would be greatly appreciated

Yeah, I've gotta ask myself why the app seems to conflict with so many things. Unplug VR, disable antivirus, disable windows defender, disable all background stuff, disable yourself, etc. So annoying and such a s* way to sugest help imo. The rest seems fine. Just the "this app can't get along with anything" feeling bugs me. Also, my game won't launch either.

Adding too this that the process does show in Task Manager and then disappears 5 times, but under Background Processes rather than Apps

Having to disable most anything they ask in their support page is pretty bad. Sounds like it doesn't get along with anything.

Will try without the overlay and report back but currently re-installing.

Can one even actually disable BD or do you mean just turning off the services within the app? I turned off the firewall and such inside the app but that didn't help me. That's not to discredit your solution though. It may work for others as it worked for you so I'm glad for your feedback.

Simply put the forza executable in the exceptions for the "Advanced Thread Defense" module. It works for me.

Only deactivate the protection shield on the app.

Yep. Same deal. Game just doesn't want to launch. Anti-virus or no anti-virus.

Well atleast its not only myself this is happening too. I can only hope its launch day jitters, and that a patch will be on its way, though would be nice to hear from devs that they are working on something in the meantime
