Experience for keyboard / controller player.

Does this game need to be truly enjoyable with steering wheels and pedals?

Anyone here with keyboard/controller that play for a long time and feel that steering is not really needed for this game?

Also, what is the attention span for this game? Im a person who lost interest in games pretty fast unlike it keeps me going, like, new stuffs, new challenges, idk .. I will check out youtube review later but I appreciate if anyone here could share if they ever once felt giving up on gaming but how this game keep the interest up!

I own both wheel and gamepad, gamepad is much better for me, I cannot control this game with wheel and pedals.

Controller is better than Steering wheel for this game IMO

Steering wheel is the way to go. Wheels have a learning curve and if you come from a gamepad, you'll struggle for a while. Months, to even a year in some cases.

Then everything becomes muscle memory and you even see your times improve. Wheel gives you a level of control that a controller won't. It's really satisfying. Just requires patience.

With that said, given its console origins, it's made for gamepad. I personally have never played any Forza from the past few years with a controller, but I do remember Forza Motorsports 4 was really good with a gamepad.

It's usable, it works well enough. But some game modes do almost require a controller to not be total pains in the arse to do. It's not like Assetto Corsa for example.

Cross Country and Drifting mostly... If you want to try to drift with a wheel, get yourself an e-brake controller or make sure your E-brake button isn't on the wheel or it nearly impossible.

Bottom line: going 900 degrees of rotation with the flick of my thumb is faster than rotating a wheel lock to lock - you can math it out from there.

Not needed, as its a console game. But much better for obvious reasons, especially with a good feeling car.

i try to play with keyboard but its really bad and i was bought xbox controller and i got a lot of fun with this game

I've played Forza Horizon 3 with Mouse and Keyboard and Forza Horizon 4 with controller. From my experiences, Forza Horizon 4 is a very casual arcade-sim racing game. There isn't a need to use a wheel setup but I know that there are some advantages of using one, such as smoother momentum transfer in and out of corners. Steering wheel is also not needed unless you're going to devote your time into ranked races, where your inputs and driving styles have to be very precised.

Used them all on FH4 but controller is the way to go for sure, KBM isn't bad aswell but controller is much better specially for drifting it's so easy, i mostly used my wheel setup on FH4 only for cruising and enjoying new cars lol.

I tried forza with Logitech g920 and i had great experience. But am not that good with steering wheel so i prefer to use my old but good Logitech f310.
U can play with ur keyboard but keyboard provides less control.
u should get a controller for best experience with forza. Any xbox controller or any other controller that use xbox software, like mine f310.

using the wheel indeed will give better control than a controller for all driving ganes. KB is the worst for driving games, but the game is decent on KB. I play with controller though.
