I was suspended from the game, will it affect forza horizon 5
Hello there,

About 5-6 months ago I was doing time travel in the game to play single, today I log in to play again, it says my gamertag is banned and I can't play until 2050, I don't even want to talk about this nonsense but will I be banned from forza horizon 5 too?

Yeah, you'll have to create a new MS ID to link to your Steam copy I think. Definitely don't buy on Steam and link to your old one!!

How so, my friend, if I connect a different ms account to my current game, will I be able to log in online?

I've never tried myself, but there seems to be a guide on how to link a new account here:

Your entire Xbox Live account is not banned. Just, you're now prevented from playing online with forza, and access to the Auction House. If you was banned from Xbox Live, it would say banned until 12/31/9999 and you would literally not be able to log into this account and use it online period, that goes for all games through Xbox Live Services.

In all honesty, your account isn't what entirely get's banned from Forza, your entire PC does. Regardless if you used a new account or not, it would also get banned. The only way to get around Forza Horizon bans is to reinstall windows OS and NEVER login and use the banned account on the new installed OS. There has been no other way around bans, somehow Forza knows what accounts are on your PC and links them together.

I don't think Forza on steam is permanently linked to an Xbox Account. It could be, but I have no idea. If this is the case then your Steam ID would also be banned on their servers and you would not be able to play from the same steam account. Someone please confirm, or deny this as I don't own the steam version, and or knows anyone that has banned on steam and got around it.

Personally, I would not buy forza from Steam due to numerous reasons and issues with the port. If you reinstall windows, made a new account and buy from the windows store you would be fine.

I'd like to also know how did you get banned? I assume you abused the action house? Not going to speak on that, but you probably given many warnings not to ever do so and this is what happened.
He used timetravel as the op said in the post

I doubt this was the reason he was banned, then again maybe. I never time traveled.
Single player wouldn't get you banned, no matter what you do. You could even use cheat engine, and get away with it. Mod cars etc. That's why I'm curious to how he got banned, as normally you would only get banned if you abused the auction house, obtained unreleased cars, or cars you should not have online as they're not obtainable.

I didn't have anything to do in the game anyway I had all the cars in about 400 hours I had a lot of money and sorry for my bad english also thank you for your help and comments :luv:

Thanks a lot dude! you painted everything better than xbox support, ms store, forza support and steam! Please specify which account you cannot log into after reinstalling Windows: Ms store or Xbox live?

Thinking about buying it, you can easily buy it, now I'm playing forza horizon 5 with the same profile, in short, the ban you ate in forza horizon 4 is only valid for that game. Thank you everyone for your interest and helpful replies.

So you were banned on FH4, and then you bought FH5 on the same account that you were banned on the previous game and yet you are not banned on the new game?

Yes and later, out of curiosity, when I had the opportunity to meet with Xbox officials, I asked and they said that the game profiles are independent of each other, so yes, if you are banned on 4, you will not be banned on 5, and after years, I found a way to return to my old game via Steam by opening a new Xbox account after 4, but playing 4 when there is 5. I wasn't very interested

Excuse me man, I recently got device banned for gaining Owen McLaren with mod(yeah now I know that’s stupid af). I wonder if u only got account banned or both. I’m thinking about buying fh5 this time but I’m not so sure whether I can play that game “clean” with the same device.
