No Wheel option on the Steam purchase.
I just purchased FH4 to use on my PC and within my Driving/Racing simulator built using Logitec G29 wheel, pedals and gear stick. (I do not own a controller) On installation, the settings tab (shown in many videos) to choose wheel support is completely missing?. Steam have guides on how to change wheel settings, yet nothing on how to actually install. I spent 4 hrs trying to set it up with Sim-Dash and the wheel, not actual playing, yet they now refuse to refund. Of course there is no way you can respond to them as everything is automated, and they have offered no advice, help or support on how to fix. Can anyone help me find a way to return this option or a work-around to make my wheel work? Bring back the days when programs came on CD's not downloaded. I for one will not longerbe recommending STEAM on my websites game pages, I will be recommending purchase of FH4 from elsewhere!

Is your wheel detected within the logitech wheel software? Does your wheel show up in bluetooth and other devices in Windows? Have you tried re-installing the logitech drivers software?

I re-installed G-hub to make sure I had latest. I use daily on ETS2/ATS etc., so know its fully functioning.

When I first purchased this on MS store, I tried myself for many hours to get my Fanatec hardware to work properly without any success. The few times I thought it was working, it was so wonky I gave up and starting using a controller.

I use wheel as I have had several strokes, I cannot operate a handheld controller and even struggle with a keyboards. If it doesn't work with FH4 they need to fix the issues, or at least they should make people aware of this before purchase. They are too focused on selling the next version and making even more profit, rather than supporting their users.

Sorry to hear that. Understand. Sorry, have you tried going to https://forums.forzamotorsport.net/turn10_forum18_Forza-Horizon-4.aspx and or https://support.forzamotorsport.net/hc/en-us for help?

Yes I have tried but so far have had no replies. I want to contact someone at Steam, but I seem to be going around in circles in the automated system. I want to know if this Is something that has happened during download? or is it something Steam has removed from the game and failed to make us aware? and I am not allowed a refund, how I can get the wheel option back?

There are a lot of posts with people using wheels on here, so it definitely works for those people. I haven't tried with my wheel myself yet (using a controller) so I can't really offer any advice. Perhaps looking in the other threads on here discussing wheel issues will be of help.

I've been searching through, its not that the wheel isn't working, it's the option to select wheels in the contoller settings, the option is just not there.

might be able to download someones config file. Just ask for someone with same setup to paste file online to use.

It is a known issue for steam version. you can only wait the developer to fix it, yes, just wait...

You could try uninstalling G-Hub and loading LGS 9.02, worked for me but wheel is not a great option, it doesn't work as well as it did in the MS store demo, so might be better waiting for an update.

but will they fix it now FH5 is due? - Just find it so frustrating with my left arm weakness after my strokes, I can use a wheel, gear stick with a button box ok, but struggle with a keyboard where I need 2 hands. Even more so when Steam cannot be contacted.

Not sure if this will help, but have you tried fiddling around with Steam's Controller Settings? There are a few options there you can try turning on/off like gamepad support - I don't have a wheel so I can't test anything for you but it's worth a shot, as I've had issues using a DS4 controller in the past (double inputs) and turning off the Steam DS4 support thing helped.

I bought this game for the soul purpose of playing it on a wheel, but got a big FY in the face from the developers responsible for the port because they couldn't bother and implemented a hella buggy steeringwheel support.. I tried with a g27, but it was so messed up, brake and acc switched, no clutch, no ffb,... It was bad, really really bad. So steam version of the game has non excistent steeringwheel support AND IT'S NOT MENTIONED ANYWHERE ON THE OFFICIAL PAGES!! Tons of people like me got ripped off big time. Whilest in the MS store, everything works fine!

Long story short, I couldn't refund as I tried 4 hrs to get my wheel working, so no refund.. I finnaly gave up and bought a controller. I quite enjoy the game on a controller, but that was not the intended way to play.
Will it be fixed? Bet they just don't care anymore as FH5 is around the corner. They know where the real money is, so forget about FH4 fixes.

Bugfixes[support.forzamotorsport.net]
I had a look at the bugfix list and it seems like they've fixed quite a few things recently, but a lot of known bugs still remain. Based on that I'm assuming they plan to support this launch and patch out the bugs but only time will tell. I've had the MS store version since launch, and was thinking of getting FH5 here but now I'll just wait it out.
