Cannot join friend's session

Unable to join friend in convoy. If he accept my invite, nothing happens. And he cannot send me invite because in his convoy menu all his friends are offline. Also, in xbox game bar button "join game" is greyed. Both, me and he can play online and join online sessions. Also I can join another friend and he can join me and everything ok

i have the same issue my dude. Dino Freds thing does not work for me. ive tried multiple things and have found no solution. even contacted Microsoft and they seem to not understand that im on pc. They keep trying to tell me to restart my Xbox lmaoooo. feel like im talking to bots or even someone from one of those phone companies that doesn't speak english.
