Forza Horizon 4 on Windows 10 version 20h2

Hi everyone, i wanted to ask those who have upgraded their windows to the latest version 20H2?
Can you guys actually run/launch and play FH4 without any issue?

The thing is previously i have installed FH4 in Windows ver 1909, and after i "incidentally" update my windows to 20H2, the launch crash.

And now, i re-install windows 10 version 1909 back and can play Fh4.

Again, my inquiry would be, can we run FH4 in Windows 10 version 20h2 (Steam)

I have no problems with 21H1 latest.

Microsoft Windows
Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1083)

You should try updating the Xbox app in the MS store manually, because it did not automatically update for me, so it crashed to desktop on start. Finally fixed after updating logging out and in the account in game.

I don't really remember in which update I had a trouble but FH4 didn't launch for me a while ago as well.

The problem for me was Windows update messed with my power management profiles in MSI Dragon Center. If my CPU was running on power saving profile the game wouldn't launch because the CPU clock speed was very low.

When I changed my power profile to a high performance one, the game launched without an issue. There is definitely something related to CPU clock speed with this game, at least with MSI laptops. Never had this problem recently though.

Hey man, thanks for sharing your experience. is this something related to overclocking? I thing i agree, there's lot of "T&C" between win10 and FH4 man. i just hope we wont face any issue when FH5 comes later.

I believe 20H2 is from October 2020, 21H1 is May 2021 update, so 21H1 is the latest.

Using Windows 21H1 but after the first race of autumn session it immediately crashes and i could not manage to play anymore. It constantly crashes after clicking continue in main menu. I tried lots of things but playing without internet connection makes it possible to prevent it crashing. Connecting to internet again while in game makes it crash immediately. I think it tries to connect horizon online but something goes wrong. It is quite deadly bug because i'am unable to play this game. My refund is rejected because of stupid steam's policies. Any advice would be very helpful in this stage.

I have the same issue as well soon after my win10 ver1909, automatically update to v20h2. and after that, the game will crash even at start-up loading.

Any chance you tried to manually change your desktop date ? so you can play this game, but on other season except autumn? i always hate winter, so i normally change my desktop date manually so i can play FH4 in summer. hahahha

Thank you, I'll try that but i think it happens because of connecting to the horizon online session. After the first race of the autumn session the game tries to connect horizon online and gives you a choice to play with others. But before of that you just play with computer bots that are named as the players who plays online. Changing the session probably will not make a change because it will also try to connect horizon online which cause game to crash abnormally.
