How do i qualify for the roster
it says this every time I try to join my friend

You have to finish your tutorial first. The game wants you to go through all 4 seasons. You must collect enough influence points to qualify for the next season.

The fastest way you can go through seasons is to get the cars the game gives you if you have bought the Deluxe Edition. You will get a lot of car collector influence just for having a lot of cars.
