Common sense, its so rare in these forums.
I am pretty sure that there are exactly 0 systems, that can run the steam version fine.
We collectively have so many different system configurations and tried a lot of software "fixes", that the likelihood of this being caused by some external factor is getting slimmer by the minute.
As of this day, no official response from the dev team, so my conclussion can only be, that someone there decided "meh, good enough, we are literally incapable of fixing this"
And I am pretty sure you don't know Jack. That's a bold claim when you actrually have no clue how it runs on other people rigs and no way to prove everyone has stutters.
I've had people swear to me decades ago that v-sync doesn't cause input lag. They were absolutely positive of this. I of course knew they were objectively wrong but lacked the tools to prove it. Years later the YouTuber Battle(non)Sense did the tests and took the measurements showing to the world definitively YES v-sync does cause massive input lag.
So why did these people swear to me it didn't? Because they're clueless. Some people have 100ms reaction times, some people have 300ms reaction times. Some people have great eyesight, some people have horrible eyesight. Basically anyone saying this game doesn't stutter on the Steam version simply falls into the latter group. There's nothing special about their game or setup, it's them.
So that's why I've learned over the years to give 0 credence to anyone making bold and contrarian claims without any proof. They're literally useless.
What a helpful contribution to this thread. Hope your godlike machine that runs this mess flawlessly lasts a long time. This future tech is probably pretty expensive, considering it does not exist yet!
Also exit from any PC monitoring utility or injector including MSI Afterburner.
I start the game with about 30% ram usage and the game runs at about 70% (I have 12gb).
I use a tool to "constrain" the operating system, and clear memory (the tools on this store, yes I Know they are somewhat controversial but I have 99% no stutter except when the game is connecting disconnecting and a couple seconds when Forzathon starts) before starting.
Amazing optimized game I can play at 60fps, ultimate settings with a 590X and an I7-920 (1st gen, 2009 Intel cpu).
But oh wait it must have been something I did on my computer to fix this problem. It totally had nothing to do with the game or this patch. Silly me 🙄🙄🙄
