How to recognize a bad writer? By the amount of dialogues about food.

Well, jokes aside I guess this is the last vn that I read from Shimokura, because he is not my type as a writer at all. The crucial is that I didn't like all of the main characters: Aoi is annoying, Miyuki is bitсh and mc, well, another faceless protagonist. Maybe this vn better for someone who like moege, idk, because even after it became weird it was still kinda boring for me to read.

But the idea is interesting and Totono itself is a unique vn, so I can't say that I didn't have any pleasure, but I would like to see the same story but not from Shimokura.

pain in the ass at some points but still really good

I recommend not reading many reviews of this game, and largely going in blind. However for this review, I will talk about things that I believe won't ruin the experience whilst still giving you an idea as to what this game is like.

For a game that came out 4 years before DDLC, not only does this game manage to do everything that game did better, but it goes even beyond that and it actually amazes me this game isn't talked about more. Of course, I can't give specifics on what exactly that means since it would ruin the experience, and besides, this game is very unique in it's own right and completely comparing it to DDLC isn't fair. But know that this game is a very emotional and unconventional experience that was kind of ahead of its time for 2013. That being said there are still a few things I feel I can talk about. The art is done pretty well and gives a pretty unique feel to the game. The dialogue is very well written, and some of the unique ways the game goes about telling it's story is pretty interesting. There's not much more I can say without ruining the experience but I promise you that at the very least, you will find the game interesting.

Overall, a very emotional, unique, and somewhat ahead of its time game, 9.5/10
