At the risk of sounding like a tool, That's kind of the point? The game's creators said multiple times that the theme of the game is partially not being able to get everything you want. They weren't really concerned with what was the most pleasing experience. They wanted you to think differently about how you play VNs. From their mindset, "Completing" the game means getting any ending, even an unsatisfying one. Although to be honest I think the only way the creators would say you've "lost" is if you 100% the game, which they absolutely do not intend you to do and actively discourage.
