bug: load save file (continue) has me floating in space, without my inventory

I had gotten to building the starter spaceship, and flown to the asteroid to mine the core. I was most of the way to the core, and had to quit (IRL interrupted gameplay). When I was able to continue, I re-launched the game & loaded my save file. I am floating in outer space, with only my hotbar items - backpack is empty. I seem to be able to move - sometimes WASD will move me a little, sometimes it won't. I spent almost 14 hours getting to this point. Sigh.

I will toss the save file, figuring it is corrupted somehow, and start a new game.

Hi, sorry this happened! This seems to be an issue for a minor amount of players in their first time saving and loading out, this has never happened again past that point, so you are safe to continue playing on your new save. We are stilll looking into more data for why this might be happening.

I am also floating in space no matter how what I do, so I perhaps need to delete old save file so could you help me find the correct flies to delete? I keep trying to start a new game with the hope it will put me back on firm ground and I don't mind if I have to start again but with no luck at all. :(
