Wodan champion battle against general kitoru seems impossible, what am I missing

For reference I have defeated every opponent on the hardest difficulty fulfilling all perfect win conditions, such as 13 turns against quinna etc.

So believe me when I say, this seems to be on another level.

I am guessing there is some gimmick, but for the life of me I can't figure it out, and I don't want to waste any more of my tries for nothing.

Getting to the 3rd phase is easy as pie. But then all your cards are frozen and all you have are super weak bandits. The enemy just slaughters them with a reaper, but even if not, your only unit that can do anything, the poison rogue, has only 2 attack and does nothing to anyone with armor. I tried sacrificing the rogue, but that too does not help as the traitor dagger is frozen on the top bar and unplayable.

I saw a thread from 2023 about this and read the spoiler info and it was useless and inapplicable. Maybe the game was updated I don't know. I am on mobile.

Anyways, some help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ps, I watched a YouTube video on this battle, and in In that video when the Players Rogues died, his Traitors Daggers were usable. So again, I don't know if this is a result of the game being updated, but when I played, the Traitors Daggers were grayed out just like everything else, and were not selectable, and could not be played on any of my units.
