The Way is following the particular ending in Redemption which we believe is a canon. The god is imprisoned in Gleda, prince Ho has become king Ho, Eik / Ake spent 20 years to learn new skills and become a good father for Finn. As for a sequel, we were working on it for quite some time, and yes — that's the canon, and the most important thing is the one which I tagged as a spoiler.
King Ho is the correct name. Hoda is a nickname as prince Ho was pretending to be a simple soldier and used that name as a cover.
Yes, there will be no save import. The story in the first game is complete, the only cliffhangers are Childao's storyline and the imprisoned Goddess. That's what we are going to take into consideration.
If we are to develop AoG2, it will be significantly different from the original game. Redemption was written by a Russian fantasy book writer, and we won't work with him anymore. There were 56 (!) characters, dialogue and consequences logic is flawed in many ways, so we intend to explain a lot of stuff even for those who didn't play Redemption.
Actually, if you are to join our Discord and PM me (@asbijou), I can show you what we have.
I'll message you!
