Cant fight Gollah Champion Hargell

Hello, when I get to Gollah Champion Hargell it says "I cannot fight you Frisian, you need to fight my other commanders" , however I've completed all the prior content... am I missing something? Thanks.

This is the most annoying part of the game thus far. Aced all the fights only to not be able to fight the boss despite answering what I thought to be in line with the hints. I am restarting the gollah run and if I still can't fight hargell, this game is going to be shelved.

I am sorry for your experience but I'd like to point that this is a story-driven game, so this outcome is important as well, and a bad outcome is also an outcome. If you simply want to try the fight against Hargell, you will be able to do so after you finish the game in the Free Game Mode. Otherwise, I suggest to try a guide or ask me which answers you need to get the outcome you want.

How many answers can I get "wrong" because the fight is locked out? Out of the 3 dialogue thus far, I already got one negative (the 2nd dialogue I mocked him without "crossing the line" - which to me, was in line with the hint). I don't want to waste my time playing till the end of the Gollah campaign only to not be able to fight him again.

It doesn't work in the way how many. Every line has a price, and some of them are cheap while some of them are pricey. Like you can get +5, +2, +1. 0, -1, -2 or -4, and you need to cross the line completely, getting a big minus sum or vice versa (-8 or +8 is enough to fight the chieftan).

There's a thin line between mockery and insult, and you have to find it. Like saying that Gollah smells of piss and ♥♥♥♥ is obviously a grave and direct insult while personal retorts with mockery can get you some respect.

Had some time to play today, and played another battle.. after which there is another chat with Hargell.

I wrote down the dialogue this time just to show why I don't think it works the way you intended it to.
Hargell - "That adjutant let you win on my behest. There’s nothing funnier than giving false hope to the undeserving"
Options :-
1) Chuckling – What other excuses will you find for my victories?
2) Sneer - Sneer – Leave it Hargell. There is nothing funny about your hope that I won’t beat your men.
3) Challenge – That’s where you are wrong, Hargell. It’s far funnier to watch you try and find excuses for my victories and how’s it is harder and harder.

In my opinion, all 3 would be in line with the hints given, but I chose 3 as I felt it was most apt (also seeing that it was a "challenge" to Hargell), and yet I received another negative. Sigh.

Other commanders is his adjutants. I am not sure what's your problem. Perhaps, you've beat all the adjutants already. But yes, that means you didn't end the day and never tried Challenger battles.

Perhaps, you have played only the Qualifying rounds both in Ursus and Rigga.

Challenger battles are the same fights but considerably harder with new additional mechanics and rules. In Ursus you can skip them, though you can get additional rewards. In Rigga, you can also skip them despite the fact your companions literally trying to convince you to play that battles to get additional rewards and impress Quinna. Without them you miss all her story and can't get a good ending.

In Gollah you can't ignore Challenger battles, basically, you have to win every adjutant in the hard versions of the battles. Also, Hargell is going to tease you and you have to answer. There are several options how to approach this.

You can insult Hargell to make him want to fight you or you can try to get his respect by witty remarks and jokes, sometimes mocking. This will result in different consequences. But you can also fail to irritate him or earn his respect and end up with a neutral reputation. This way you won't be able to do much and will end up with just one option in the story.

I thought I was on the good route, did I miss it even if I didn't kill Quinna just because I didn't do the challenges? I must have been going through the text to fast because I thought those were just for extra cards...
