Well, there's nothing we can do about it, unfortunately. The best I can do is to ask you to play the game and give us an honest review when you feel like it.
Games so damn cool, I love the combat, I wish it was less puzzle and more strategy/rougelite, I know everyone is making them these days but so few do it right, the combat mechanics are so unique that I hope you all stick with them and expand, maybe the sequel will be in the war's we are being trained to fight? using blocks of infantry/archer's/cavalry advancing over terrain? maybe frame the land we are fighting on somewhat like the current games board but add different modifiers to ground type/obstacles changing how your units advance and what bonus/negatives are applied due to said territory and condition's,regardless I said the same thing in my review but expanded on it, just a dream of possiblities for what the combat could someday be if you all decide its worth continuing, I for one am/would be onboard.
one thing though that I quite dig is how you are traveling around from tournament site to site reminded me of an old lucas arts game called gladius, just a coincidence I think but it gave me some really pleasant nostalgia.
I didn't know it was getting bad reviews, the intro/tutorial tournament over stayed its welcome a bit but other then that you dev's made a really cool game and I am very grateful for it, its unique and that is damn rare nowadays, I really dislike puzzle type games though, ala banner of the maiden and in some type of way this game but you got me playing and enjoying that type of game so it should speak for itself there's something special going on in this mixture, it just might need a little refining but the magic is there for sure.
as an aside I know again its played to death currently but I would totally buy an expansion that adds a campaign mode similar to slay the spire (or any other rougelite game)where you are going through building your deck and choosing your fights/paths, this games combat/ccg aspects would probably be quite a good match again less puzzle'y though but thats just a personal issue.
Apologies for the rambling, my sugars are pretty low and it was really important to me that i expound upon how much i dig you game I am getting more and more stuid as I ramble so its not making a ton of sense nor does it read particularily well, thanks for your time and all the best to whomever reads dis.
Oh yes this. I am just a few hours in, but also a veteran from Ash of Gods Redemption and many Slay the Spire likes. I think I will love the combo of gameplay and story here in Ash of Gods The Way, but lift and shift the gameplay into a roguelike and oh heck yeah, I would pay again and double for that.
same man, same.
I answered you in other thread but again, I really appreciate your feedback and passion. It is really heartwarming to know people enjoying the game.
As I also mentioned in another thread, we have some pretty cool ideas for DLCs, so if the game get more attention, we will might do something you guys will enjoy.
This was probably very expected from me but I'd be very grateful for an honest review from a Redemption fan once you get enough time in the game. This is really important for us. Thank you.
