Cursor is unbearably slow

I play on Steam Deck. The game itself works great, but for some reason, the cursor in the main and pause menus moves at an unbearably slow speed. Is there any way to fix this?

As far as I can tell, the menu cursor is slow in general, and this is manageable on kb/m but the issue really stands out when you use deck/controller as controller movement is slower in general as well, so it compounds.
