cant wait till tablet support is available :)
Then don't use it?
for me its the other way around
obviously this kind of game attracts hobby artists that are used to a tablet and art programs
so some basic features like tablet support , layers and stuff are a must have
right now the game has the potential to be magical but being forced to use mouse only + missing basic features really drags out the joy after a while
thing is the game should offer options for all kind of artists
id love to draw with basic art program tools while having a game around it
i dont get why more options would ruin it
no one takes away the option to just use the mouse and have fun
worst case would be that such art is some kind of a gateway drug and after a while people are used to drawing with tablet + basic editing tools so they become interested in a real art program
all existing artists have a blast playing this game too because it offers the basics of digital drawing
its a win win
and like i said no one takes the magic away from you with offering more options
just paint how you like it but gatekeeping doesnt help anyone
let other artists have fun too
I get that, but also I think it takes away from the point of the game... which is PAINTING on a CANVAS (not trying to be rude, just emphasizing)
So, I totally get the appeal of wanting layers and ways to undo... but you can't do that with real canvases. I also get "if you don't like the option don't use it" and I also won't, I just genuinely feel that it doesn't really ... fit the game, yknow? Maybe if they were implemented as tools, like upgrades to your canvas or something, that comes later game? Or it costs money to magically undo stuff, I don't know. That aside, tablet support is great, I love the idea and plan to use it myself.
No offense, but we accept limitations of programs all the time. Passpartout had tablet support and I don't think anyone expected that to be much more than MS Paint in functionality, certainly not many people if you can find some who would have liked it. MS Paint has limitations, Drawception has limitations, Draw Something had limitations, most of us would just like to draw freely as we're comfortable and used to drawing rather than struggling with the controls to try to create something instead of just hopping in and experiencing the joy of creation.
I guess I could just set my mouse sense down all the way to reduce the risk of weird, haphazard errors, but I don't want to labor towards creating something fun, instead of just having fun with it.
