The escape from the MOTH monster

This scene is really annoying.. It's very hard to get around the corners even if you are using a controller like the one from xbox or PS. Perhaps it's possible to make this scene a bit easier to finish or something else...?

My problem is same: I can't escape from the monster because I can't turn the first bend of the corridor. I tried evertyhing, I have bought the Xbox controller, I will try with this again.

At last, after playing Silent Hill 3 on hardest difficulty, turning corners with a shifty 3D control tied to fixed cameras pays off years later.

AFAIK, i am referencing the fricking Borley haunted mansion, the final part where the reddish mist chases you and instankills you. Sigh.... so many deaths until i grasped how to shift the controller with every camera angle....

Ya, this 3rd person view and angle-switching camera is something I don't like in games. But they could have made it worse - imagine each time the camera angle changes, the still-pressed run key causes a change in the direction as well.
But nope, the protagonist keeps her orientation, even if the key is opposide. That's something I can live with.

The Maw chase scenes were annoying because a couple of times before I could even run Maw catches you. but running away reminds me of some of he classic chase scenes in some ps1 games so turning the corners didnt seem a problem for me.

I was loving this game until I hit this scene. I cannot run fast enough, even with controller ready before scene starts. It kills me time after time before I even get to the camera angle change to turn the corner. I'm not sure I can begin to navigate it with the WASD keys so this may be the end of Medium for me...

XBox Controller arrived and it made a huge difference, I finally escaped.

I found this pretty simple - once I figured out that I could avoid the moths rather than turning on my spirit shield and trying to run through them. I am using WASD as well.

UGH AGREED! I just continue to die over and over trying to use the keyboard controls. Going to give it another try with a controller in the next couple days and hope that helps.

Learning how to escape this monster was WAY too frustrating. WASD controls on a PC with changing camera angles is ridiculously annoying. It's one thing when you're just exploring, but with scenes where movement execution is crucial to staying alive, they should have just went with an over-the-back 3rd person view to ease up directional control. I understand the visual attraction of the whole cinema view thing, but for actual game play for moments like this, it was really an unfortunate decision. Great game, but this alone almost made me want to stop playing. It was THAT frustrating.

I'm using WASD as well, and I just can't make the turns fast enough. Loved the game up until now. Really, there should be a BYPASS option!! For us keyboard folks. IS THERE ONE?
