Mac Compatible?
So, is this game Mac compatible? I ask because it says I can install it on my Mac yet I cannot play it on my mac (as in it hasn't installed anything) so tad confused. I do know they are bringing or have brought this compatibility in so wondering if it's just a bug.

It probably installed as the game is now compatible with Mac. Can you search for the game's file location and see if the files are there. It might not be working if your Mac is older, the requirements say you need Ventura 13.0 or newer. I haven't seen what the minimum requirements are for Mac so that might be the issue. The game is pretty demanding even for Windows PC's and needs a fairly modern CPU and graphics card.

I agree this game is extremely demanding on PC, I have an M1 MacBook Pro but I’m not even gonna bother to install it. When the game is displaying both viewports simultaneously, it makes my PC cry (3070 + 5800x3d + 64GB of 3200 cl 16). So I’m not even brave enough to attempt to run it on my base M1 processor. I think someone would need an M1/M2 max/ultra (or Intel Mac with a decent AMD GPU) to play this game and have a good experience.

There's a compatible macOS version, but if you bought the deluxe version there seems to be a problem with actually installing the full game.

My Mac is an M1 could be right and doesn’t meet min spec

I think it would be ok if had 16GB of ram, but once you get to the part of the game where it’s rendering both worlds simultaneously, I don’t think it would work well at all, maybe it could be feasible if you drop everything to low, run a 720p output and turn on MetalFX upscaling in performance mode (I don’t know if the game supports it but No man Sky and re village on Mac both support this version of upscaler) it might run then. I mean even the base M1 gpu is significantly more powerful than the Steam Deck’s Aerith/Van Gogh APU. Im not saying it would be the best experience, but it might run at a stable 20-30 fps. Hopefully they put either MetalFX upscaling or Epic’s TSR in the Mac version of the game.
