Question about the ending *possible spoilers*

Are there multiple endings? Part of my reason for asking is that I reached what I assume to be the default ending, however it felt fairly sudden and contained a few major cliffhangers (there was a lot of build up to the ending I just figured it would be a bit more clear when it occurred).

I didn't gather the 2 flounder for dad (I wasn't sure where to fish them), I didn't befriend the sea turtle and as a result I might have missed a few new areas, I created the bladekey but I didn't find the use for it, and I never gathered all of the balls for the island statue (this seems like it's either an easter egg or an alternative ending).

For people who have completed any of the tasks above could you let me know what I missed out on, if anything?

no i am definitely with you there and frankly... kind of upset if there is no alternative ending... Like all that build up and especially the one emotional scene on the beach! Nah bruh lol I didn't find the flounder either, nor did I ever see more then 3-4 balls to collect. Also I didn't befriend the turtle either (which might have taken us to the flounder). I really need to know if there is an alternate ending, bc yeah the ending felt very abrupt. I'm glad someone else finished the game, bc I've been dying to talk about it XDD gahhhh i'm so upset at that ending. all that hard work and UGHH frustrating. XD

"gigantics" i giggled XDD ugh nah bruh lol that's not fair. i really enjoyed the game but that ending, was just not it and now going into any further games i am gonna be very hesitant and probably read the forums more. At least give me an alternate ending.

There's no alternative ending except Will dreaming of a bad nightmare. And more lore to the game. Samantha goes to Florie since she picked up the map. But the game directly states a prequel. Which implies that there has to be a sequel to Samantha's escape. I hope this all makes sense and helps connect the dots

I mean fair enough but I just felt disappointed and sad at the outcome. I also felt like my time was wasted (all that farming and bless hunting...) ugh especially when I wanted to see them go off into the sunset and actually build a house and make friends together. Like bruh XD You got me liking these characters for that to happen T_T not cool

Aww thank you so much. The game takes time to develop. I noticed gamers are quick to judge so I do my best to help out a lot for them to see the game's true potential

The prequel seems interesting, I'll definitely keep an eye out for it!
I figured that there was a reasonable chance that Will survived as it seems to heavily hint at it, that being said it would be interesting if there was bit more revealed after the current end sequence. For example a final piece of art of Samantha on the raft sailing towards something on the horizon (such as the city), along with some dialogue reflecting on what happened would probably add a lot to the end sequence (at least in my mind).

Nonetheless I enjoyed the game and I hope it does well! I also think that if you ever tried your hand at making a more traditional farming sim it would do well!

Where did you end up finding the gold for the blade?

There might be other ways to get it, but there's a God Shrine exactly like the one on the home farm on one of the eastern farms; you can fulfil its blessing objective by giving it a assortment of early game fish, in return it gives you 10 gold nuggets.

If I remember correctly that's the only way to get it, but that's more than enough, since you only need it for a specific quest

I am curious, did anyone complete the side question "The Hero's Imaginary Friend" where the story speaks of using magic to kill the demon? Not sure how to complete that quest or if it will change the ending.

What's your current objective for that quest?
And no, there's only one ending, so it won't change anything.

Even if you don't do anything, there won't be any change in the outcome. There's only one ending.
