Have you tried running in compatibility mode? Old classics like this often have issues with modern OS

Well, even if its answered : How would people be able to give help if it runs for most if not all of us?... We could only search for a solution IF we can recreate it, and thats the last thing someone does willingly realy.

Classics remain : This a Windows game, so MAC and LINUX both are out.
Reinstall the game, check your HD for Viruses, uninstall everything not REALY NEEDED to run a PC (all those pseudo utility software's out there for example...) then try again
Most drastic posibility, wich happened to me once years ago : Reinstall your OS. Some system stuff CAN break down or get deleted via virus etc. and without some of them games tend to not start anymore.

Oh, and i just installed and ran it after buying btw. and did run on win10 64 bit by that point already WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS

On Windows 10 and later, you need to enable DirectPlay manually in the settings. Ask Google how to.

If you still encounter problems, you could try the HD Patch, which seems to be more compatible with latest windows versions:

I try to Start the Game but it doesnt work. The Game crashed and I go back to the Desktop and I dont know why...
