I figure there's good games without achievements, but there's good games with them, too.
if there's any steam game where not having achievements is OK it's this one
also the author developed this game alone and has spoken once in a while about having *very* little time to add more to it
that being said, i can think of some achievements that would actually help people enjoy the game... mostly ones that hint at special elements that appear depending on the combination of building blocks you use
"rainbow: used every color"
"lighthouse: 1-block-width tower made of alternated color blocks"
"secret garden: flat blocks surface surrounded by a taller wall on all sides"
...
