Mods / Modding - Little people - Little proof of concept

Heya peoples :)

I was a bit bored and thought about jumping back on the modding train (didn't work out so well, about a year ago).

So I've tried finding out what modding possibilities there are for the game at the current state. Aaaand made a little proof of concept over the last few days :)

What do you think? The model is a placeholder.
I want to gauge on how such mods are perceived here and if it's even worth working on it. If no one would use it, I would spare myself the work.

Mods would be great for providing new and/or enhanced experiences to players new and old alike, and would do wonders for extending the game's lifetime. As an avid supporter of mods I'd say go for it, as me and my family will likely be using mods if good ones are made available. :D

Hi, don't know if you're still working on this but adding little people to the game is one of the most requested features on the forums, hope you're still doing it, would really add a lot to the game's ambience

I'm just about to buy the game. I'm looking in the forums and it seems like this is a much desired and awesome idea. I HOPE YOU PURSUE IT!

So far, the motivation holds it's ground.

I will keep working on it. I've changed the model to an assortment of little citizens. To get some variation in. Now I need to find the doors to let them walk out of.

Weather would be awesome for improving the atmosphere of the game! It would definitely help spice things up a bit.

It'd also be cool if the weather could interact with the structures, if that's reasonable to ask for. You know, making the world look wetter when it rains or making snow appear on the ground or on roofs when it snows. I imagine that would be much more complicated than what you have right now though, if it is even possible within the bounds of what you can do as a modder.

the game has potential like so many games that never get pushed. it almost seems like the developer doesn't care about a large profit he might have.

it could be an alternative to minecraft, but in addition to not being updated it has also removed the flying islands.

You've paid 5 bucks for a product (which is not even titled "game") with the following description "No goal. No real gameplay. Just plenty of building and plenty of beauty. That's it. "

If you expected 10 years of steady progress, an AAA storyline and who knows what ... damn, thats on you then. You should rethink your perspective on things, because thats just sad.

Yeah just because it has "so much potential" in your eyes doesn't mean the developer should keep developing it forever, and like you want them to. It's their game, man.

I think this is a step in the right direction and I can def see more models that are more fitting to the aesthetic.
