v1.2.0 - Crashing randomly trying to back out of EDP

I'm at the very start after choosing the character and the watching the cutscene, I analyse the EDP, then use it, and it's 50/50 whether the game freezes. I can't back out of EDP.

The only way to exit is to end task on Residual.exe (not responding) :(

I've played the game previously a while ago, and never encountered this.

can you check the game's install folder and mail me the latest crashlog ? mail to [e-mail] and I'll have a look

Hi,

I can't actually see a crashlog, does it get written to the root of 'residual' directory or in 'jre'?

I've checked a couple of times in task manager and residual.exe is either 'not responding' or 'suspended'.

This is on win 11 btw (shudder). Last time I played was on win 10 on different pc, so I guess the problem could be my end rather than the game crashing?

crashlog get's written to the root of residual, so alongside the residual.exe
but it sounds like it doesn't crash, but just lock-up ..

which language are you playing the game in? I'll see if I can replicate it somehow

nevermind, found the cause of the bug, pushing a fix !
fixed in v1.2.1
