save files synced between itch.io copy and steam copy

I bought this game on itch.io and wanted to play it again on steam from the beginning, while keeping my save on the itch.io copy.
Steam updates everything i do in the steam copy to the itch.io copy as well though.
Does anybody know how to desync the two?

There is no "sync" or "update" between the two. They just use the same location for the game data, which is:

%UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\D-CELL GAMES\UNBEATABLE [white label]
