Game freezing halfway into a song and then randomly speeding up on steamos?????

im using a steam deck with the dock + keyboard and mouse and randomly near the beginning of the song or halfway through everything will suddenly freeze and then speed up back to where i am in the song, i tried messing with graphics and other settings and its like this with every single song. what do i do???
