Play Without Needing Quicktime?

Just bought the game and loaded it up, only to discover I need Quicktime? Reluctantly I tried installing it on Windows 10, and it fails due to a missing file in the installer. At least half of my music is AAC, so now what? I can't do the workaround I've seen of moving a file name or something from Quicktime, as it simply won't install at all on my computer.

Suggestions that people have found worked? Beyond converting all my music to .mp3?

So I did just that...completely uninstalled Audiosurf, deleted the folder from Steamapps, then reinstalled the game. Went to load up a song that is an .mp4 and once again got the message to download Quicktime. What else ya got for me?

I meant .m4a or whatever iTunes AAC files are known as

You'll have to convert those to mp3. The Great Warper probably misunderstood your post... Audiosurf doesn't need quicktime for other formats is probably what he was getting at.
