Core Awaken ~Jilelen and LittleSnow~. This game is a puzzle platformer adventure developed by Japanese doujin developer celusiscat. If you are particularly interested in the anime doujin games released on Steam, you may already know this developer. Core Awaken ~The Yuka~, Maomao Discovery Team, Mine Dungeon, The Elven Educator ~another ver~, and so on. The main features of their games are classic gameplay with cute anime girl characters.


This game provides a fairly interesting classic platformer arcade experience. As you explore the dungeon, you solve puzzles, smash enemies and get items. There are 2 playable anime girls. Their names are game subtitles, Jilelen and LittleSnow. One is specialized in exploration and puzzle solving, the other is suitable for attack and smash monsters. The game design is pretty rough, but the actual gameplay is better than expected. The story is a bit related to the previous work, but you can check it out enough in the game database. Overall, gameplay is about exploring dungeons, solving puzzles, getting materials, and strengthening your characters. By applying the patch provided on the developer site, you can open R18+ content. This game supports gallery mode. The characters are very cute and support partial voice.


Core Awaken ~Jilelen and LittleSnow~. This is a pretty rough but interesting anime character game. What this means can be experienced through direct gameplay. The game is not polished, but it is addictive and attractive. Above all, anime girls are quite impressive. If you are looking for something old nostalgic doujin/indie anime game, this is the game for you. Recommended!

A stiff, though surprisingly in-depth platformer. Smash enemies and collect"DNA" to advance your party.

Detective Jilelen is exploring the Crimson Dungeon in search of a rumored power within. She encounters Little Snow and her companion, Limu. They invite Jilelen to their camp and explain the state of their world's "beasts". Apparently, the beasts are unable to propagate with their own kind, and so they need people to make babies with. They are able to control the minds of those they breed with - and that's the "power" that Jilelen seeks. This is refered to as "assimilation".

At least, I think that's what they said. The English is terrible.

JinLen barges in and Limu reveals that she is her caretaker. They form a coalition, and Little Snow is sent into battle.

Before the game starts, you may choose a preferred language. Additionally, you may view a wonderfully illustrated cutscene. From "Options", you may adjust audio, control, and visual preferences.

Serious word of warning here, the lewdies appear. . . young. This is a result of the artstyle, but some gamers may find this offputting. The artworkis pretty awesome. Expect male-on-female sexual intercourse.

Sure, I recommend this game during a light sale.

Okay, time to stop being a wuss and review this game. I was supposed to review it ages ago but eh… whatever. Let’s see if I even remember what it’s about. So you land on this game’s store page, right. You take one good look and think: “Well aren’t those some cute little anime children.” then you glance to the side and see the tags: Action, Indie, Exploration, Sexual Content, Cute, Funny… wait. Back that up a bit. Sexual Content… hmm... sexual content? Huh… What? Uh-oh… UUHH-OOOOH. So it’s one of those games, huh? One of those cute and funny fun for the whole family type of games, huh? You might even say this is a game for p… pe… ped… for a pedantic sort of person who exclusively likes a certain kind of video game character.

Now, before you rush to any conclusions and get your panties in a bunch, trying to reach for that report button like I know some of you fiends did and got some digital works of art like Maomao Discovery Team banned, and I’ll mention I’ve never even played that game, only heard the name, don’t put me on a list ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! Before you go doing that, I’ll have you know the characters in this game are not children, Karen. No, they’re remote controls, sentient AI remote controls transplanted into robot bodies; robot bodies that just happen to have the shape of little girls, and they are on a quest to find a way for robots to get pregnant. No, shut up, Karen. Robots can’t have an age.

If you’re not convinced, I will mention that this is the censored Steam version. Although I’ve heard there are patches out there, on certain sites, which can bring it back to its original state for the more pedantic people out there. In its current state it’s just a cute game with really decent music and some innocent looking characters. You explore a dungeon, engage in some mediocre combat, do upgrades, and solve puzzles to reach deeper into the dungeon and progress the story. As a game it’s decent, like most Japanese games are. It’s especially good if you just happen to enjoy exploring and solving puzzles. At this price tag however, I think you really need to be a fan of this art style to buy it full price. What, Karen? You want to speak to my manager? Exodust. EXOODUST! This lady wants to speak with you!

The game is pretty cool, but there are too many instances of "Where am I supposed to go and what am I supposed to do?" moments. I mean, that's par for the course for metroidvania genre, which is what this is, but there are few moments I was stuck wondering what I am supposed to do next and the game is not clear on what to do.

For example, at one point, the quest arrow was pointing to a room that I had no access to. It turns out I had to go elsewhere on the map to trigger a cutscene but the game wasn't telling me that's what I was supposed to do. I had to stop playing at the last part of the map called Seal Prison because I have no idea what I am supposed to do there (I found two switches but there's no indication what they do).

Still, I am recommending this because the game itself was pretty fun. It's a cute metroidvania with cute characters and cute story. The dual character mechanic works pretty well and the control is pretty tight, if you're using a controller. I just wish there was a walkthrough or guide because I am stuck on the last part of the map.

Anime side scroller action + cute + special attacks = Switch between Jilelen and LittleSnow depending on the situation. Destroy blocks, use magic and specials. This reminds me of anime PS games.

I got the game through some other means and was glad to be able to buy it through steam to support the creators. I managed to get somewhat close to a 100%, but I don't think I'll be trying to get a 100%. However, I really hope CelLab makes another one of these. The game is really jank, but I really loved the game.
