Final specialization of the 2.0 patch
Originalmente postado por Zack:
The third and final backer specialization coming to Siralim Ultimate 2.0 (but don't worry - there's plenty more planned for 3.0!) is called the Mermaid.

This specialization introduces a brand-new creature: the Benthic Guardian. Much like the Grovetender and Animator, most of the Mermaid's perks revolve around this creature. Here’s a look at some of its perks:

Refractive Shell: Your Benthic Guardian and its adjacent allies are immune to debuffs in normal battles, and resistant to debuffs in boss battles.

Slam Shut: The first time your Benthic Guardian or its adjacent allies are killed, they are resurrected with 50% Health, and your Benthic Guardian casts Chrysalis on them. (Chrysalis: Target gains a massive amount of Defense and is sent to the bottom of the Timeline.)

Hums of Encouragement: After your creatures reach the bottom of the Timeline, your Benthic Guardian casts Words of Encouragement on them. (Words of Encouragement: Target recovers a small amount of Health 3 times.)

On top of all that, the Mermaid introduces a brand-new debuff called Mania. Creatures afflicted with Mania take damage equal to 5% of all healing received by any creature. This debuff pairs well with the Mermaid, since this specialization has several powerful healing effects that can quickly send Mania damage spiraling out of control.

We have another healing specialization it looks like. Its focus is in weaponizing your healing, much like Inquisitor, but in a different style, and a bit more balanced. Looking at the sheet for the specialization submitted by the backer that created this one, it looks like some names may have changed. Mania was listed as Bliss by the backer. Also, it looks like the Benthic Guardian is going to encourage you to make it as tanky as you can manage. Both its trait and the ascension perk reward the you for giving the Benthic Guardian high defense.

Oh no, and that has a drawback of kicking you to the bottom of the timeline which the perks are apparently turning into an upside.

Also, if the Benthic Guardian is scaling to specifically Defense... Pumpking. :steamhappy:

I can't help but think there's gotta be a catch in the spec somewhere ;)

There is a catch, but I'll let the spec get out into the wild so you can see it for yourself.

Also, starting at the bottom of the turn order isn't the same as being sent to the bottom, so don't expect a mass casting of Words at your team at the start of battle. Now, spamming wormhole on the other hand...
