Doesn't seem like the kind of changes that would necessitate a separate version. Maybe if the backer shop goes crazy and adds a bunch of weird things I could see it but for now it seems alright. (and that would probably be optional stuff like backgrounds , cosmetics for game effecting things they will balance them)
The first patch that drops will mostly be bug fixes, optimizations, and some QoL features (like some colorblind modes), but the later patches will add a great deal more to the base game.
Is there a discord with all this info or was it leaked somewhere ? I tried checking the backerstore google doc but it didn't have all that info (although I did notice some named boisvert was a backer , not sure if they are related but shout out to the ARG/Analog horror series _ Boisvert on youtube)
Either way seems like some cool stuff is planned and I trust they wouldn't add things that don't fit in the game or ruin the balance (or that it would be optional if it does).
I pulled that information from the Thylacine discord announcements, and summarized the bigger changes. I skipped over a lot of smaller things (though "smaller" is relative, as I'm sure the new colorblind modes will be huge for some people) with focuses on things that are changes to gameplay itself.
As for where to find the discord link, open the menu in game, go to options, then there will be a "useful links" option. From there, scroll down to Discord, then press A on a controller, E on a keyboard, and it will open a new tab in your default browser to the discord invite for the official discord. Everything I described can be found if you scroll through the Announcements channel, and more.
