Ascended Specializations how?

How do i get an Ascended? Game says beat every boss on level ten, but that can't be true. 30+ keys per specialization? Not to mention some bosses just seem to be hard counters to certain builds. Is this something I should not be attempting until I'm much further into the game? I'm at 270 right now. Thanks for your input.

I'm on 920 realm depth. Started to grind my Ascension at about RD 900

Ascension is pretty much the ultimate endgame goal in this game

Not in any convenient way. I've ascended everything myself, and when you beat a god a star appears next to their name for that spec. When you ascend a spec, a star appears beside their name in the spec picker.
30 specs and 30 gods means 900 keys total, but it helps if you get gods' favor ranks to 50 because that's when you unlock GotG keys from their shops. It costs 20 emblems, and beating them in a god fight gives you 10, so beating that god 30 times = 300 emblems = 15 of your keys back, and then 7, then 4, etc. It effectively cuts the number of keys you need to grind nether bosses/projects for in half.
Also doing RI5 on nether bosses gives you just about 3x the key fragments, & I didn't bother with RI5 on realms that weren't bosses to save time, as RI5 can slow some clears.

Edit: I'm at depth 1820 btw. I'd say don't focus too much on ascension until you've amassed a few hundred keys, some gods at favor rank 50 (don't spend on keys yet), and plenty of annointments. The annointments from false gods are more important until you've got a LOT of them (the good ones). If you wanna ascend just pick 1 or 2 specs for it and save the rest for later.
What I did when I was ready was beat a god that I had favor rank 50 with using every spec, then I'd go get some keys back from their realm and repeat with the next god.

Good to know about being able to buy gotg keys at rank 50. I havent gotten to rank 50 yet with any god so didnt know this was a thing. That makes getting more keys much more reasonable.

Im just at RD252 and cutting tough God's lvl10 with ease, all besides Muse yet first try like killed em 1-2 round 😂

You can put Sarea's Command on an artifact, it will one shot Muse at the start of the fight. I forget why but iirc its her Spiderlings I think, one of her minions, will kill her.
