How does Animated Weapon work?

Hi, could someone clarify how this minion effect works? In-game reads:

When the "Animated Weapon"'s master attacks, it deals additional damage equal to the highest total stat from all of its artifact's Stat Slots.

I'm confused because artifact slots work with percentages and not hard numbers. Does it basically just mean "From any stat affected by their artifact, add the creature's highest stat to their attack"?

I'm trying to wrap my brain around it but I feel like it's one of those Siralim effects that's hard to put into words.

Bonus points if someone could give some suggestions on what kind of creature/build this effect would work well on!

If your creature's base intelligence is 100 and you have a stat slot item that adds 53% and another that adds 53% then the artifact would do an extra 106 damage attack.

EDIT: netherstone that boosts stats might also work. If not single stat items on your creature with the HIGHEST natural stat it has. If it has crazy high intelligence then give it intelligence stat items on the artifact.
