Race trait question
Hello,

I haven't played this game in a while so I forgot a lot of stuff about it. I've been preparing to make a build around seigemaster and I wanted to try golems + amaranths. Specifically, I wanted to utilize iron golem's trait "all golems share their innate traits with one another" and the amaranth rodia token trait "amaranths share 15% of their defense with one another". What I was unsure about is if fusing creatures together makes that one creature belong to both races. I'm sure there must've been some kind of tutorial popup somewhere regarding this but if this were the case I missed it lol. Any help would be appreciated

Fusing creatures uses the primary creature's race, not the secondary creature.

Regarding the Golem shared trait thing, this occurs very early in the order of operations at the start of battle (traits are shared).

Start of battle order of operations isn't well documented in game, but suffice to say traits get shared prior to stuff like race-changing (outcast no longer) so the iron golem trait can't be abused/manipulated outside a few very specific combos.

Reference from the codex guide:
Start of Battle Effects Several traits, perks, and other effects activate at the start of battle. These effects are executed in the following order: 1) Traits are granted, then shared with other creatures if applicable. 2) Races and classes are changed. 3) Spell Gems are granted. 4) Buffs, debuffs and minions are granted. 5) Stats are increased. 6) Stats are decreased. 7) The battle starts. 8) Creatures attack. 9) Creatures cast spells. Note that the battle only truly starts at #7. This means that, for example, on-buff effects won't activate at the start of battle.
Yeah, they specifically changed the order things happen in to prevent trait sharing from breaking the game. Because it was stupidly broken.
