4th boss
So this guy isn't so tough. Using Hell Knight I just use the skill that prevents me from getting Scorned... But all of his allies are basically one-shotting my party and I am frankly unsure what I can even do here.

I have just dumped the entirely of my resources into my artifacts and spell gems and can't upgrade anymore without hours of grinding. My party are all level 15ish and still getting one-shot by basically any enemy that accompanies Loid. I don't even know why, but sometimes they can attack multiple times in a turn but I can't see any information showing why this happens.

I quite literally cannot think of another solution available with the info given to me. I somehow need to have like, double the HP on all monsters and double the speed. Any advice on why my party is so weak here?

Party-specific advice would need the party pasted into a forum post.

Go to options ingame and export build to clipboard then you can post it into a forum reply.

People seem to miss this a lot:

*You can set your realm depth to whatever.*

Set realm depth to level 1. Go kill things effortlessly, collect loot, complete realm quests.

And oddly, you will get XP, even for the effortless battles.

Loid is well-known as a wall. Good to know he's still crushing new players after all the nerfs he's had over the years.
I managed to beat him. I had forgot to talk to the guy to finalize my first project; so once I did that I was able to buff some gear a bit more.

Aside from that though, I didn't really do much else. I just got lucky with the enemy composition joining him in combat, and not getting one-hit KO'd when they took their turns. I don't understand how turn order is decided either... Shouldn't the speed stat determine this? I have someone with middling speed taking first turn, followed by my slowest guy, then someone in a higher range, then my fastest... I tried changing party order but that does nothing either.

Oh well. The boss itself was easy, it was just surviving the enemy round after downing him. I really don't understand why they were so much stronger and seemed to have extra abilities.

Good job!

I still have difficulty with Loid's team every new character. Even prepping with the only two Death Creatures, earning them maximum experience, they barely eke through the RNG, about 60% of the time. Then you're playing catch-up with two members of your main progression team, at the only point in the game where that really matters... :black:

Thankfully he's not so difficult he needs that much prep, but compared to the rest of the game before and after, I'm just saying that you never need to go so far out of your way to build a specified team. Your two starters, a Terror Hound, a Gimp Mummy and two generally good creatures (Ebony Ent, Centaur Ranger, etc.) are good enough with just a few more runs through the previous Realm Depth. Then you don't have to worry about finding a use for duplicate Creatures. :winter2019happygingerbread:

You don't really need to build a team to beat loid though... You just need to level a bit so your creatures can brute force him. He's a very early game stat-wall, nothing more.
I have to say, the main difficulty was the random nature of his minions. Every time I lost, I'd come back and they would be different. Kind of impossible to build around the unknown anyway... I can't even remember what Loid's gimmick is anymore, but his minions were all dishing out OHKO's and stringing together moves. One attempt had my entire team getting binded again and again and again... I think their team had 3 full rounds of turns before a single creature of mine got free. Never smashed the E key on my keyboard so hard and fast waiting to play a game again lol.

I came here after looking for help with Loid. My solution wound up being getting a Camouflage gem and putting it on my hellhound to make my whole party Death class and get the class advantage. This was inspired by one attempt where he turned all my creatures into Sorcery and I could only do one tenth the damage.

Spending my perk points helped too. Regeneration from Fire plus Ancient Spirit meant we got free buffs every turn.
