What's the best build?
What is the best build that will not be countered by random chance from instability?

Thing is... its kind of a lottery based on the area and its debuffs and hidden debuffs you cant see. I used Animator with Snake god and 3 chimeras, since chimeras start with one random trait from first monster which is a god, so I get 3 additional god traits from the start. one chimera was fused with mimic, and snake gods special "brothel" makes every unit share its innate trait with its neighbor. Snake always has the steal enemy stats ability, and because of mimic my team always goes first. I cast demon swords as well, which take enemy stats and give them to me, but when enemy looses stats, they also gain debuff, and when they gain debuff they loose stats again, due to another monster i fused with chimera. You can also cast ascenstion to give snake god like 5 more god traits, there is some sort of cap though.

So turn one, enemies have maximum debuffs, their stats are on absolute minimum and mine are pretty high up, they cant kill me, all I have to do is keep casting rapid dimentia on my main monster and it kills everything. This build works with pretty well with the few other specializations I tried. It also completely doesnt matter what the enemy level is, since I always go first and steal all their stats, i could fight level 10 or 99999 and its same effect. Only real issue is how slow it is, on average needing like 3-4 turns to kill enemy team. While other builds can one shot enemies from the start...

I was pretty satisfied with it, but occasionally I would encounter a combination of monsters that would STILL manage to seal my abilities, or do some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of their own to finish me off... so in the end its kind of impossible to keep that winning streak for very long time, but it caps out at 100% extra magic find or whatevrer you call it so not like dying occasionally is too big of a deal.

It's a shame, I just want a build I can mindlessly unlock everything with so I can then play the game for real.

I think the biggest fun part of this game was the journey, making the builds, getting to gods, going wtf how do u even beat this, i had to make a tread, its somewhere out there where guy explained to me some very neat tricks. Plus to make the ultimate build you need to find relics that roll the perks you need for your build, its very random...

But once I kinda got to the end game, I started loosing interest because my build was very strong and I didnt want to struggle coming up with a new build lol... Plus the randomness of arena was very annoying, you cant even use your build and stuck fighting other teams in basically a rock paper scissor luck matches...

So I think... making the build IS palying the game for real, once you get there you will probobly loose interest sicne there is no story past like floor 100 I think, rest is just grind for fun... Anywyas if you do find the ultimate build put it here I wouldnt mind making one as well :P

Basic strat is cast dark ritual on the wight (mimic goes first almost every fight) who then dies, does tons of dmg and casts spells to give buffs, remove debuffs and increase max health (only really needed for boss fights)

The only real problem you'll face is Elf Berserker which stops "on death" effects but its a minor issue as you can just kill him off early.

Defile to stop heal stacking, res spells in case of traits that stop the auto res, dispel to get rid of debuffs, clayman is OP. Put generous and cast twice on every spell apart from dark ritual.

I'm still tinkering (the anointments listed below are temporary while I grind for the ones I want) I want the Hell Knight anointment that stops enemies from dodging attacks as that is your other source of dmg. I'm sure I could optimise the spells too but it's working fine as is. I might swap out "Gift of Scylla" as atk and speed arent that important on bloodmage with all the hp stacking.

There are numerous builds in the care to share thread.

One of my favorites is:
https://berated-bert.github.io/siralim-planner/?b=faf5a19c3a14aa1b1b11a7aabfdfa15cd2c597772087abbfc99c92f7628247b5bc711bb2904467d7c77910e172cb96bd5a8f14c2e2fa&a=SBODERDEKASATBO&r=______

There are a few counters to it but it zoinks most everything.

Here's another really powerful build. Really designed only for Monk though.
https://berated-bert.github.io/siralim-planner/?b=faf5a1d85b96c99c92bddc79_aa1b1b672c0d79d64bfd1f3fa132bf94298efba7b3f079b545e4fed1aaa4f7628247b5bc711bb2&s=MO&a=CAMFAIHKEHKKWRJ&r=______

There is a flex slot in the build, and also you could swap out 2 of the phase warriors if you use We Are Pack + Outcast No Longer

Though TBH if you're just looking for the "best build that can clear everything" you're missing some of the fun of twiddling and messing with new builds.

And for the record, the Imler+Pyro thing is a meme. Its alright but SirFishandChips always says Imler+Pyro because that's just what they do. There are lots of other builds that are either as good if not better than Imler+Pyro.

ok but I want the most reliable build to advance with. what's the most reliable build? I am sick of getting wiped on instability 5 just because the enemy rolls op traits.

Tough to say. You may want to try using the team builder tools to figure that out for yourself. There are a lot of unknown variables in your request.

I want to progress at instability 5 without getting killed by random op mobs. That's my variable.

No. That's a desired outcome.
It isn't clear how far you've progressed in the game. Most of the people giving you advice are hundreds and hundreds of hours into the game. All of the suggested builds given to you are RI5 stable.

Additionally, most of the builds in the care to share thread I mentioned earlier are RI5 stable. If I were you I'd read through that thread and try some of the builds there that seem like what you're looking for.

RI5-stable builds aren't very difficult to construct if you're far into the game. The earlier you are in the game's progression the fewer options you have available.

Heal loop/health stack cleric can beat everything in the game with no issue and the only mod you have to watch for is reduced healing which is never hidden. The only thing I have died to with it is Ossein that randomly cast false beliefs (damage equal to healing received) when it revived.

https://berated-bert.github.io/siralim-planner/?b=b12d0f98eaba4fa2e64e87eceee546e2dfb000a09204d04487eac11183f09a79b665608e4e87ec255cb1c99c927d6a2ef1ca4ba5de00&s=CL&a=ASAWRMTBMDSNTBO&r=___eh__

Do not take revelation perk. Use morph death on djinn. Equip each creature with holy explosion (magnetic, health scaling, increased damage). Use generous life orb (if you have, requiem if not), chaos spheres, astral dimension, cruelty of the wild, greater dispel, blank slate, recharge, death siphon, and then whatever else to fill gem slots for Ophan trait. Health scaling stat boosters are good fill in gems because they give an absurd amount of stats. This is also nice to have for fights like Flubris if you need attack/speed stat to actually deal damage with attacks.

Use death siphon on Regalis if the enemy is immune to indirect damage to both speed up battle and make it so they don't reach the damage limit from abnegation.

Saint Althea will beat this unless you anoint arrogance is confidence from shadowbringer. If you want to use this build to beat her you must fit in leech digger and oculum leech to negate the damage from blight and then use spells to kill her. Gonfurian can be beat by fitting in dolor sin/frozen spirit/doomsday spectre and Torun can be beat by changing giant and master of giants to any phase warrior and master of phase warriors.

That's a fun cleric setup. No Katarina's Return though?
Trait sharing builds are so much fun but man... I really hate the realm modifier that prevents extra traits.

why master of giants? You only have one giant
