Your best bet would be to simply progress through realms, collect lots of treasure and, if you've already unlocked this feature, try yourself at increased Realm Instability.
It would also be advisable to focus on a specific realm and increase god favor for loot bonuses.
Just on the side, your creatures' raw stats are not as important as overall trait/perk synergy, so don't feel pressured to optimize your critters' stats ASAP.
Personality Tome drop rates have been increased in past updates as well, so things shouldn't take terribly long. Odds are you'll eventually end up with hundreds of those just sitting there in your inventory by the time you are working on your last post-game tasks.
It is not a very early thing. Just got unlucky with the drops I guess
Not that you need to increase difficulty, if you don't want to... but the loot bonus on RI5 is substantial, so I think trying to get into this is very worthwhile.
Nothing really to add there... perhaps make sure the bonus is around 280-300% at least... but otherwise I wish you the best of luck!
Besides, if you're already rockin' RI5, I don't think you need those tomes too urgently. ;D
It is more of a "I want to minmax everything" urge.
Depth 251 is pretty early on the grand scheme of things. One of the biggest gameplay pieces doesn't unlock until 420 and it will be another few hundred more floors before you gain enough levels to buy the new creatures/spells.
You have a ways to go yet
Hearing talk about depth 251 and 420 makes me go O_O
It's very frustrating to get the wrong personality or be forced to farm the same monster over and over again trying to get the right personality on both before fusing.
Usually this wouldn't be a problem but for some monsters like Priests you want that specific personality to boost the stats that they rely on.
