How much worse is the grind going to get?

Yesterday I decided to start hunting dumplings more seriously. At the time I had 50% dumpling XP.

I put together all my 5 nuggets into one party, since apparently having dumpling class creatures in your party greatly increases the chance of them appearing. I also headed to Arachnid nest, which is the best zone for dumpling hunting, and I have reasonable reputation there (46).5 levels cleared, and I still haven't seen a dumpling. Even if I was unlucky, and dumplings do actually show up once every 5 levels, that would still mean I'll need to clear 250 levels.

Then I look at my prophecies. My latest sheet wants me to complete 2 hunts, 2 pilgrimages, 2 experiments, 2 raids and 1 training mission. That's rather a lot, but prophecies must be done to level relics. Given I also kind of feel like I need to keep grinding keyforge missions for approaching ascendancy attempts, I'm struggling to see how I can fit in assassination missions that are needed to try out new builds.

The grind is starting to feel a little nasty, like a job, not a game. And I'm wondering - will it get worse and worse the deeper I go?

A couple of things.
1: where did you hear nuggets increase dumpling spawn rates? They don't EDIT: AFAIK.

2: the dumpling acquisition (all of them) is very very late or even end game. All dumpling except nugget require the basic dumpling in your group. King dumpling requires 6 not including nugget (nugget doesn't count).

I finally hit 100 mana for dumpling at like floor 1650. It is a massively slow grind.
But it is worth it. Dumplings are the best race.

Don't bother with Sheets who wants you to do finish the same Mission 2 or more Times... Just finish all the easy Stuff and get a new Bingo Card.

About Dumplings..... eh ask lege xD That Guy is past Depth 1000 if i remember right and has no Dumpling. E: Grats ^^

Are you playing the Realms at R5? While you can get unlucky you should almost always have every Trait Item you need that way. Assi missions take way too long and are super annoying .The Game would be better if Players could just buy every found Trait Item at the Castle.

Dumpling Grind is pretty much the worst Grind in the Game mostly only beaten by King Dumpling. Piety Grinding isn't that bad in comparison.

Rule of thumb : if your gaming time starts to feel like work time, you either take a break or stop playing completly.

Also, according to the guide, having any class of dumpling in your party (including nuggets) allows for a chance of Veggie dumplings showing instead of standard dumplings.

Yeah... the guy who made the guy specifically says he doesn't know the specifics of the spawn data.

What he is talking about is anecdotal evidence supporting the possibility of nugget influencing spawn rates. From my experience it doesn't. A string of good luck is enough confirmation for some people to assume it works a certain way (and for me a string of bad luck is enough to prove it doesn't).

In any case, Vegetable requires Dumpling (like Squash, Melon, Omelette etc.) to spawn. I believe it used to be obtainable without dumpling (I found mine with neither Dumpling nor Nugget) but I am pretty sure this has been fixed/changed.

Basically the best you can do is, use a nugget if you want the magic +dumpling spawn chance that hasn't been proven AFAIK and just keep running arachnid nest. Because we don't have hard numbers on dumpling/golem spawn rates from realm to realm arachnid nest is the go-to because of the 5% chance to spawn dumplings from nests.

In any case... I wouldn't really bother with trying to force your way through the dumpling grind. It is at minimum 100 floors but realistically can be 1000+ (took me 1650). There's a lot of other stuff to grind and if you're using an all nugget party trying to force dumpling spawns you're definitely climbing up the mountain with a greased rope.

Even if dumplings spawned with a 50% chance per realm, to encounter 100 mana worth of them in 100 realms would be something like 2% probability.
But we know the spawn % is WELL below 50% (what is it? 10% natural spawn and 5% from arachnid nests?)

That's about what I was pulling when I was going for the last 10 needed to do my first dumpling. Without nugget. I do hope it works for influencing the chances but I think rng being rng will always make things look beneficial or non beneficial depending on our experiences.

Should be noted too that I did pull 2 dumplings in one realm while going for the last few. Then a dry spell of like 6 or 7 lol...

You know Lege your 1650 Realms for 100 Dumplings do sounds like some really bad luck on your Side. In comparison i am at 41% at Realm 539 without trying at all.

Yeah I think part of it is bad luck and part of it is playing realms that don't spawn many dumplings for a long time (Arachnid Nest was only like level 20 when I had 90 mana on my dumpling and level 67 when I finished).

But I did score the ultimate jackpot in slots the first time I did a 3-ticket spin!

Let me put it this way. You're amazing for having 5 nuggets. I have about 330 hours in this game and I still only have 1 nugget.
