Small cute Combos
We have leges Care to share Thread but that one is supposed to be used for complete Builds. So i thought a Thread just for small combos would not be bad either. Instead of getting a complet Build thrown into your Face, it is just one or two Creatures which might end up becoming a Build.

I just got a new Backer Trait from the goblet and as soon as i saw the Description i got a Idea. Mostly because i tried to use a Valkyrie Knight before to get a Repelling Build running.

This Time however it is not repelling i am after, instead it's about tanking Damage.

Valkyrie Knight : Takes 50% of the Partys Damage from Attacks/Spells
Laughing Wisp : Takes 50% less Damage + immune to debuffs + get thrown to the bottom of the timeline when you take Damage
(Backer Trait ) This Creature takes 90% less Damage until it's first Turn.

Basically sacrifice one of your Party Members for a extremly good Party wide Defense. Just throw in Nephi Shield and Phase knight and i think outside of Sudden death Skills there is nothing left which can really hurt you anymore. As a Siegemaster using Surathli could give this Creature another 90% less Damage since Siegemaster has the : Start Battles defending Perk.

I am not sure if blocking 50% of the Party Wide Damage counts as this Creature getting attacked or not or if it counts as Indirect Damage . My Gut feeling says Indirect Damage.

I also know that you can never block more then 90% Damage at once but i assume the Game does it like this :

1000 Party Damage = 500 Wisp Damage
500 Wisp Damage -50% Damage reduction = 250 Wisp Damage
250 Wisp Damage -90% Damage reduction = 25 Wisp Damage

One I've used in a variety of builds because it's just so damn effective is Mimic with Wisp Watcher.

Start with whatever base creature you prefer. There's a lot of creatures that have great synergy with the above two. You usually want a low speed char for the main, because mimic will tank your speed stat anyway and you'll be going first regardless of spd.

Wisp Watcher casts its first 5 non-ethereal spell gems at the start of its turn (can cast the same spell multiple times if it has less than 5 gems) but gets sent to the bottom of the timeline if it takes damage. That doesn't matter, though, because Mimic allows it to always start battles at the top of the timeline.

It's a great setup combo, or with the right setup can end most encounters before it even gets its first actual turn.
Yeah that's a very powerful combo.
Quite a few synergies with this exist for turn 0 wins.

Feels like a turn 0.5 win, to me. lol
But mimic is such a "obviously" choice, a hot-ticket item. I suppose I'm not surprised by anything when someone fuses it with mimic. I'd rather turn 1 with a mimic, because you get the choice then and there of what to do, in case your 5 spells would backfire and flay your own team alive.

Mimic is great yeah but i just use the Astrologer Anoinment. Get's the Job done as well. Well in the end it comes down to what you wanna "waste" one trait or one anoinment.

There is certainly the possibility of that if you aren't careful!

One of my favorite spell combos involves water salamander with a grimoire purgatorian team using morph death, the spell that turns enemies into death and chroma's shelter to make one creature immune to damage before turn 1. Then make sure the invincible creature is a raging storm so your other creatures can't drop below 5% health.

I still have to test if raging storm blocks instant death

That's a good strat; and certainly a fair assessment of my hot take! lol

End of the day; I always like to chime in with my -5 cents to advocate for less actions. Just kinda tired of losing myself in the weeds of 100 actions each click, or 1000 actions without ever taking one!

Typically speaking, you get 5 anointments and 18+ traits. Even having to use Outcast No Longer to keep the rest of your team functional still comes out in favor of Mimics.

This is my small cute combo I just commented the other day on the bugs/crashes forum with,

If you have the following:

anointments:
Temporal Concentration
Incantation

Spell Gems:
Timewalk w\Generous
Improvised Recitation w\Generous
Improvised Recitation w\Generous

Creatures/Traits:
All the same race
Trait: Hubbub
Trait: Barbearian

This WILL crash your game every fight you get into, unless you get lucky and run into a creature who happens to interrupt spell casts/provokes, like a tremor, or elf monk, or nix informer.

Timewalk's turn bump resets the caps on allowed casts, for some reason, and improvised recitation can chain cast itself into infinity, theoretically. So, as long as timewalk gets cast on another creature who's also casting Improvised Recitation and timewalk: conglaterations! you have beaten Siralim Ultimate! Literally!

Here are a few more small cute combos that are very powerful:

1:
The Lost paired with Blue Tether
This will cause the creature to take all blue tether damage for the whole team.
Paired with phase mastery, aeolian and malignant storm in its artifact slot and you can have full damage immunity without two blue tether creatures

2:
Creature 1: The Lost + Thylacine + Red Tether
Creature (ideally in slot 6): Thylacine + Bard Fool + Trait Launcher

The above combo will create an attack redundancy with your thylacine creatures while also applying 95% damage dealt reduction to the enemy team

Any additional godspawn creatures added to this combo will continue the attack redundancy up to a maximum of 15x6 attacks whenever any of your creatures attack

*removes the Dust*

I was building a Amaranth Build and while doing so, i came up with a quite nice single Creature Combo. Altough it definitely needs a full team to fully shine.

Memento Mori
Pharaohs Beckoning
Anticipation / Death's Bite / Subjugation

Memento deals Indirect Damage to a single Enemy equal to this Creatures Defense whenever it get's attacked.
Beckoning forces a attacked Enemy to attack your Creature 3 Times for 25% normal damage
Anticipation : This Creature attacks enemies randomly 3 times each time a enemy dies.

Now Anti isn't the best pick for Boss Battles since if no one dies, memento has less time to shine.

Death's Bite After each Allys Turn, this Creature attacks a random Enemy for 30% Damage

And Subjugation Extra Damage equal to the amount it has greater then it's Opponent for maximum Damage, assumming you can push your Defense high enough.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
