Dreamshade/Doombringer builds?
Do any fans of Dreamshade or Doombringer have any interesting/unique builds they want to share? I know a few generic builds that work for these classes but I'm having a hard time thinking of anything unique.

Dreamshade: Is there any way to reliably increase the potency of inverted? I feel like that could open up some fun combos.

Doombringer: I have no idea what do with this class. I guess some kind of heal->death effect combo? Wasps? Wights? Idk.

Dreamshade: Other than general stat boosting, it seems the only way to do this is T'mere M'rgo's Relic.

Doombringer: Use a couple of choice anointments in a spec that can benefit from it. Trying to use everything it has to offer doesn't really work, but if you insist on trying I noticed that the spell "Duel" happens to do a lot of triggering actions at once (in the context of Necromancer, where casting it and then ending your turn will get you all Four Horsemen at once).

Basically, you start with Inverted = 10% of enemy Max health
You used to be able to "Rain it" and play Burn.
Now you can`t.


But you can fuse 2 extra start-of-turn fairies, equip it with Amalgam, and each time that creature takes a turn, you get 50% x3 extra Invert.
Now, Invert damage is weird....
For one, the extra damage from Delusions seems to be much higher than the expected 3% :conwayshrug:
and doesn`t seem to be affected by +% extra damage
but it seems to benefits from crit and + crit damage .... or something

You can attack x15 and each attack will increase Inverted by the damage done... or something :conwayshrug:
Between that and Lost Echo, it should be enough to one-shot/turn most normal encounters...

or you can keep chaining Vivacious Vodka to Ludicrous level of Inverted and then do whatever.
Anyway, it`s good enough to clear difficulty 9 :conwayshrug:

I've started tinkering with dreamshade after seeing this thread and I'm putting together a Debuff+Heal+Inversion via spellcasts setup. It is pretty rough and I have yet to learn if health is considered as one of the stats when determining spell cast's 10% of highest stat calculation in applying inverted.
This is why I slapped frozen spirit on there, to ensure the inversion buff has a chance to grow.

I was working on the build at work today so didn't really have time to proof it or get it out of concept phase but here it is. And yeah, I know there are two missing traits. I haven't decided what would be useful considering it is a little all over the place already.

One of the reasons your build is slow is the relics. Relics, while useful, slow up the gameplay considerably with all the extra junk they do. I used to roll with relics on all my creatures but I've changed my opinion considerably. Usually I'll go with either none at all or maybe 1/2 depending on the specific relic effects. I don't think there's ever really a time where the benefit of using relics outweighs the considerable reduction in clear speed.

Bloodseeker is one of those times; if you're health-stacking, turning single-target into full-strength AoE is a big deal and its triggers to attack/cast are rare enough.

I definitely agree.
Bloodseeker and the NG919203 or whatever relic (the one at the top) are build-defining in how good they are. The brambleskin one is also really good.

Spam attacks with death/resurrection. After discovering this build, I am replicating it in most of the classes with the doombringer anointements (tribalist, royal ...)
