Tanukrook's Exploding Wights. Siralim Ultimate build.
Thought I'd share my build, even though I'm sure this it is nothing new it worked well for me and is kind of oddly fun to play.

Spec:
Cleric is pretty key to this build. I have played it with Doombringer as well, but that is a very high risk high reward strategy and requires specific considerations. Main perks for this build are all your Resurrection based abilities, specifically the one that gives a chance to resurrect each dead ally at the end of each creatures turn.

The Creatures:
1: Tanukrook, at the start of his turn he kills all his allies and gains 30% of their stats.

2-6: Gravebane Wights. Their trait, called Woe, does damage to all enemies when they die equal to 50% of their Max HP.

What it does:
Tanukrook starts his turn, kills all the Wights and then all the enemies die from Woe, which has procced five times. Post fight screen appears. Rinse, repeat. It's almost an AFK moment. Some other stuff can happen too, depending on what other traits or abilities you've decided to throw in, but that's about it. Most battles, even against much higher level creatures only last a turn or two. Anything that survives is usually quite easily dispatched by your now stat heavy Tanukrook. Anything beyond that usually will not survive a second wave of exploding Wights. I am currently at creature level 120-ish with this build, at max realm depth and walking all over enemies several levels higher.

Other stuff: Well, since this list kind of runs itself I think a lot of the flavouring like Fusion, Artefacts and Spell Gems can be left up to the tastes of the individual chef! I will point out that the Super Saiyan Option here is to fuse Tanukrook with a Mimic, making it so that Tanukrook gets to go first in every battle. Because the only thing better than a list that plays itself is one that does it quickly! You can mix around traits with the Wights to get different effects, going for extra health to maximise damage from Woe is viable. I chose to fuse more Wights because some of them have good Resurrection abilities that make it quite easy to ensure you have plenty of "ammo" for Tanukrook, as well as some other synergies. Another worthy mention is giving Tanukrook the artefact trait that allows your creatures to cast one spell at random before they die, which I use to give even more stat buffs to Tanukrook. I had tried using damage and debuff spells but what ends up happening is your creatures choose targets for their spells that have already died, so it's a bit of a waste. If you use a friendly buffing spell it always targets Tanukrook, though whether or not he needs any buffs is debatable. He tends to turn into a tank after sucking up five other creatures stats!

Not gonna lie, this list does take some of the tactics out of the game, since you're basically just holding down the E key and running through fights in a single creature turn, but hey. There is room in the build to experiment I think, and to get some different effects. I'll also mention that this build is capable of completing the final boss fight. I created this build after I had already gotten to the final boss, so I can't comment on how viable it would be without plenty of Perk points to spend. Also, Tanukrook is some sort of rare creature type so chances are you won't encounter him until you've played quite a bit anyway. Anyway, there it is; Tanukrook's Exploding Wights. Enjoy!

Thoughts and comments welcome and thanks for reading.

theory crafting:

Blood Mage:
+ Bleed Out
Ranks: 1
Cost Per Rank: 100
The first time your creatures are killed in battle, they are resurrected with 100% Health, and then they take damage equal to 50% of their Maximum Health.

+ Deathrattle
Ranks: 1
Cost Per Rank: 100
Your creatures' stats are no longer reset after they're killed.

Fuse with
Ossein Dusk Forbearance
When your creatures are resurrected, they are resurrected with 100% additional Health. If this amount exceeds their Maximum Health, their Maximum Health increases by
an amount equal to the difference. This trait does not stack.

Socket artifact with Meat Bomb After this creature is killed, it deals damage to all enemies equal to 100% of its missing Health.

Socket Resilience Aura
After an enemy dies, your creatures are resurrected with 50% Health.

or

Fuse/socket Lifebinder After your creatures kill an ally, your creatures are resurrected with 50% Health.
(for 2nd and subsequent res)

Combine the wights with Forsaken Swampdweller (+250% max hp) for big kabooms :)

btw Tankrook is from Monster Crown, awesome game

(You can also put monsters with the trait Rampart from either artifact or fusing inbetween them for even more hp and kaboom power)

If you don't have tankrook you can also do this using Cannibalistic Tendencies very early on from Maniac Mutant, just set all the wights to provoke (it makes creatures die when they provoke)

I'm glad people are doing builds like this. Ever since I got Tanukrook, I've been thinking about a build like that, and using some kind of resurrect shenanigans along with it. with the resources it takes to fully deck out a team though, I won't be getting around to it for a while. Does this build have any synergy with the purgatorian spec? That might be worth looking into as well.

Throw in the artifact that makes any of your creatures that are resurrected attack 3 times... if your other stuff kills and resurects them on the first turn then you get a minimum of 12 hits in pre battle.

This build runs into problems when you fight mobs in realm instability (RI) 5 that have one of the buffs to ignore damage or resurrect with % of their health after they die. If you're NOT fighting in RI 5, then you're probably good to go.

Shouldn't he also be further empowered by fusing him with a Darksulker?

fusing Tanukrook with Nadin Rift Dancer will allow you to double all the explosions for 10 explosions total. if you have problem with ressurection from enemy you can use Pyromancer specialization to prevent ressurection (a problem with your team.) also if you want to take a step up you could fuse Regalis with Tanukrook and do some interesting team fusions where they all start combat with all traits allowing you to build a super powerful team using Tanukrook annd Regalis. i made a team myself on the forums using tanukrook a few months ago when it was released into early access. fun team.

Just hit realm depth 240 and started a build project for gate of the gods. At what realm depth a new player could expect to recruit Regalis? So I'd know how much more grinding and get back to it.

just build the gate of the gods project. when you hit 240 you get access to it from the project npc. it takes a lot of resources to build it, so just grind the resources to build it. its time consuming. cant really rush it, so just do it.

Get Regalis as soon as you have gate of god.
The gate allow you to fight every god
The battle is simple.

@Mathusalem Thank you. I am thinking of creating a Tanukrook team, would that be good for such fights?
RIB BLUP Apr 4, 2021 @ 9:02am
I recently did a preliminary sort of build with Tanukrook in the purgatorian spec, and one thing I found useful was having the unicorn vivifier ability on one of my dead guys. Since they still get to attack, my guys would constantly resurrect throughout the match, then die again and Tanukrook would just bomb everything with murder of crows. Its slightly slow and I do need to move some stuff around but its killing the enemy team within a few turns right now, depending on realm instability variables.

Collected all the mats for gate of the gods at realm depth 262.
Fought Regalis with my Tanukrook team. (only 1 meatbomb, unable to summon more)
Fought 3 times at difficulty 3, 6 and 10. Won all 3 fights.
At D3 it was one turn win, at D10, it took more than one turn but I pulled through. (unable to meatbomb kill her minions on turn 1 at D10)

Trying to build my own twist on it and wondering what are some good creatures to bring with to resurrect the others. Struggling to figure out the best creature combo to resurrect the others and then allow them all to be killed yet again.

I used Resilience Aura (After an enemy dies, your creatures are resurrected with 50% Health.)
