What is an Arsenal spell?
I really haven't found any literature on this and I'm terribly confused. It has a different Icon then I'm used to seeing.

So any spell that damages the enemies? Thanks bunches!

I don't believe that is correct. Arsenal spells refer to spells that are gained through the arena shop. When you view them in the shop they will have text which lets you know if they are an arsenal spell

That's what I was suspicious of, but wasn't sure. I have only unlocked the first two items in the Arena shop. It makes sense, but there wasn't anything to clarify it. Though this is alpha so i'm not too fussed, just wanted to be clear.

I agree/confirm what ThunderPants has said: the spell description of the Arena spell gem recipes states "This is an Arsenal Spell".

My spell list unlocks at the Enchanter are certainly not exhaustive (15 pages' worth at the moment), but so far, I've not seen any Arsenal spells from any other source.

The mechanic here (so far, during the Alpha!) is consistent with Siralim 3.

Oh neat. I guess I hadn't clicked into there when I posted it. I'm sorry.

How is an arsenal spell different than a regular spell (why does it matter)? Okay, in case someone is searching here, Arsenal spells behave like regular spells, but "interact with certain traits in unique ways.' Booze spells, in case you're wondering, can't be cast manually and have a small chance to cast automatically at the end of your turn. Random cast abilities can use them too. I found all this (minus the last part, which I have personally experienced) under Guides > Spell Gems.

Exactly this. I've never used them because I dunno if there's certain criteria I need to fulfill before my team can cast them.

Took me a while to figure this one out.

All the Arsenal spells I've encountered, so far, have a name with "living" at the front. Living Gauntlet is an arsenal spell. Living Axe. Living Sword. So sort the spells alphabetically and look under "living".

If you do The Arena stuff to increase your fame, they will become for sale, the "arsenal spell gems" are bought via the store in the arena.

It's unreasonably confusing to figure out.

Oh, and if you need more arsenal spells, the "reprimand" perk for the gladiator allows you to transform your ethereal gems into arsenal spells when you provoke, so you don't really need arsenal spells, you just need ethereal gems, which are pretty easy to acquire/start with.

Arsenal spells are spells that specifically say they're arsenal spells. Unlike booze spells, there's nothing special about them except where you get them and things that specifically care about them.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
